After Zdarsky's run left us with us with so many questions, this new #1 unfortunately doesn't really give us any answers. On top of feeling very rushed, some things actually didn't make sense or connect with how Zdarsky left the character. Also the art didn't do it for me really, that's just IMO

The storyline is slowly starting to grow on me, however...there are still a lot of unanswered questions...ie. How does nobody recognize Matt Murdock, ex-Mayor, lawyer for superheroes, etc???? And if Matt has regained his memory, HOW HAS HE NOT REACHED OUT TO FOGGY YET!?!

I am so damn torn with this run. *Possible theories below* On a positive note, the addition of Farad Karami's art has really kept me interested in this run. And, I've enjoyed seeing past characters of Matt's history work their way into these stories. That being said, I tried to give it a few issues to see what would happen, but we're in issue #5...WHERE IS FOGGY!? Matt remembers everything from his past life and not once has he thought about going to check on Foggy, his best friend who Matt sacrificed his own life for...that makes no sense whatsoever. Anyone that understands Matt Murdock as a character, knows it would've been one of the first things he did when he got his memories back. Now after reading issue #5, I've come up with only 2 explanations: 1. Matt has been reborn in an alternate reality where Foggy doesn't exist. 2. Foggy is also possessed by a demon and is the one behind the shady investigation into St. Nicks. This seems like the most likely now but still does not answer WHY MATT HASN'T GONE AND SEEN HIS BEST FRIEND!?

The main person that Matt sacrificed his soul for last run (Foggy Nelson) has yet to be mentioned. The very first issue of this run establishes Matt as Daredevil again and he gets his memories back. We're in issue #6 and Matt hasn't gone to see how Foggy is? It's make zero sense for Matt as a character. On top of that, I just don't think Kuder's art fits DD. The thing that's keeping me in this right now are the appearances of other big characters, that's about it.

I just can't get behind this run. So many plot holes, nothing makes sense. Nobody remembers Matt from his past life? But Doctor strange who's not possessed does? But not Ben Urich who is possessed? Nobody recognizes the Ex mayor of NYC/lawyer for superheroes? Took 9 issues for Foggy and Matt to see each other again? Matt thinks nobody remembers him but Foggy and Cole do? What the hell is going on? Lol

*SOME SPOILERS* This is just bad. Eighteen issues in and we're still dealing with the Seven deadly sin storyline. We still have no idea how Matt is alive which I'm starting to think we're supposed to just forget about it and be like "ohp, lawyer Matt Murdock is just back" like nothing happened at the end of Zdarsky's run. Matt defeats a demon by feeling sorry for himself? What?????

Well, I'm glad that storyline is over with.

I am so glad the Seven deadly sins arc is over with. The new storyline is weird in a good way and actually has me intrigued. Art is great too IMO. The reason I'm still giving it a low score is for a few reasons: -It took 20 issues to get to a new storyline -I think the black armor suit is unnecessary and simply there just to shake things up -Matt and Foggy just not speaking anymore again -As predicted, Matt's resurrection has been completely brushed over and we still haven't learned how he came back besides "god did it" For anyone that's read this far, who would you like see write/draw for DD next?

Between the extremely long 7 deadly sins story, how the writer dealt with Foggy/Matt's friendship, and the fact there was no explanation of how Matt came back to life, this was the worst run of DD that I've read. I'm glad it's over with and I'm glad Matt and Elektra are back together
