You didn't read the story did you? You are a moron bud. There is nothing woke at all about Zantana cursing him, and him throwing up a mud monster in the morning who magically forms into a mini joker. It was a dumb back up issue. Nothing to be mad over.

I'm a bit concerned that this story will run out of pages before we get to see Absolute Batman. We'll be spending at least some of next issue in the same timeline. Does Batman need to die to move on like "The Return of Bruce Wayne?" or just win? The plot has many holes as to why a fight is needed anyway. Surely DG would listen to BW first, despite the last page trauma.

I love Green Lantern, mostly Hal, Kyle and Guy. I read Far Sector (all of it) and it was just... okay. Now we have Absolute Green Lantern and I haven't been a fan. I was going to drop it last issue but it was a light week. What an improvement this was, no action, fair enough but a nice little story away from all that enlightenment crap. Good enough to have me buy next issue at least.
Absolute Green Lantern #8
Who is Jo Mullein? The wielder of the green power reveals her deepest secrets...as her ex-wife decides whether to help her or turn her in.
This was not a fun book. The art was both too cartoony in some scenes and too dark and confusing in others. The characters did not sound they they should and the story did nothing to hook me in to the reading the next issue.
Spirits of Violence #1
Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch, Robbie Reyes, Kushala, Fantasma, Hellverine and more!
Ghost Riders unite! When a strange group of new villains set their sinister plan in motion, Ghost Riders past, present and future must combine forces to save the world. But just who is the Spirit of Violence, and what horrors do they bring from Johnny Blaz...
It's an improvement on the past 2 issues definitely, but continues to portray Batman and his allies as dumb and not the world's greatest detectives. I hope the Jason reveal is true, I could maybe get behind this explanation in terms or his character devolving, otherwise he's just another dummy for no reason. I'm also unsure why Damien would ally himself with the villain he has due to Damien's just more
Batman #160
The gentleman's name is Silence, and his alliance with Hush willdestroy Batman!
I really enjoyed the character work in the issue. Making me feel sorry for a lapsed demon whose world and human family have fallen apart, is no mean feat, yet I genuinely do. His efforts to try and get back to them have been for naught, and now he will never be able to truly do so. His righteous yet misplaced anger will surely be his end. I'm also intrigued about the final 'haunting' page and more
King Spawn #40
After months of fighting, Spawn has reached his way to the top. The Dark Angel in charge is now in his sights. But there is one more obstacle he must face, and since he is still powerless, he just might not come through unscathed.
James Robinson remade Earth 2 in 2012. Here Alan Scott was a young gay man, a 'new' character and I had no issue with making him gay, and enjoyed that series very much.
11 years later and the original Alan Scott is now gay, throwing away the love for his wife who he went to hell for, his children(dont know where they are to be honest), his heroism and selflessness. Also I would assume

Buddy if you think this comic was woke. You are a pathetic old man. 40 years later and your still being a big bitch then I see.
Is it really time to have yet another redefining of what Batman is? With the Failsafe story and now this, it looks like it. Until the next time. This is the second dull storyline in a row and with the yawn fest that is Detective Comics, I'm sorely in need of a Batman story I don't have to stop and count how many pages I have left to read before I can get to something more exciting.
Batman #131
Gotham City has never been darker or deadlier. And after Failsafe, there is no Batman to save it. Can the fractured ghost that roams the streets survive? Whatever happened to the man known as...Bruce Wayne?
I'm not a huge fan of Ram V, I just find his writing boring. Bought this issue though, as I was intrigued by the concept. At least in the past I've managed to finish reading an issue he had written, but not this time. I managed about half before realising I just don't care. Flat and dull writing, but at least the art was nice.
Detective Comics #1062
GOTHAM NOCTURNE PART 1 OF 4: OVERTURE. It's a new era for the detective of the night as we introduce award-winning new series writer Ram V (Catwoman, The Many Deaths of Laila Starr), and artist extraordinaire Rafael Albuquerque (American Vampire, Superman/Batman)! Together, they'll be turning Gotham into a tragic yet beautiful gothic opera for our ...
Why do I prefer the way Jon is written here to the way he's written in his own book? Same writer. Probably because his appearance here is more story driven than Mr. Taylor stopping every few panels to remind us this is not Clark. I hope this continues into Jons part 2
Nightwing #89
Superman/Nightwing crossover! Years ago, when Robin took his first uncertain steps away from Batman as his own hero, Superman stepped in and offered Dick Grayson crucial advice, support, and a name: Nightwing. Now it's time for Nightwing to return the favor.
'A mysterious newcomer' who is outed in the first issues first few pages. For some reason I couldn't get hold of this issue without paying over the odds. Maybe thats what has swayed me but I was underwhelmed and expected so much. There was action, but not enough, and the impetus for the characters change probably means its short term. Of course Danny Rand will gain his power back eventually, b more

Who is this NEW IRON FIST? And does his...
Compared to the last series, this is terrible. The writing is boring and there is something not quite right about how Bryan Hitch draws Venoms face and especially his mouth. The new villain has the personality of a raisin. I've given it 5 issues in the hope of some improvement somewhere, but that's enough.
Venom #5
If you thought the first four issues of the latest volume of VENOM were crazy, all-out action, just wait till you get a load of this one! IN THIS ISSUE, Al Ewing returns to the pages of Venom - AND HE'S BROUGHT ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS WITH HIM!
Rated T+
This was just a fun book, nothing too heavy, No identity politics (how did that slip by DC?), crazy characters, appearances by Gothams more well known characters and an ending that will definitely have me coming back to see what happens next.
Monkey Prince #1
Introducing the newest hero in the DCU, the great sage, equal to the heavens, better than his predecessor the legendary Monkey King, even better than the Justice League-and definitely the Teen Titans-(actually, all the heroes combined), everyone put your hands together for...the Monkey Prince! Marcus Sun moves around a lot because his adoptive pare...
Poor writing and static art. The whole issue was just dull and boring. I stopped about 3/4 of the way through to see how many pages I had to read to finish the issue. So many great characters that could have been used and the focus was on 'teen lantern' and a meeting ripped from Star Wars' Galactic Senate. How exciting.
Green Lantern #1
As this new Green Lantern series begins, the newly formed United Planets and the Guardians of the Universe hold an intergalactic summit to decide who can best serve and protect the cosmos from danger.
