Plot
On the ship Orchis the Sabretooths rebel against the current leader Captain Creed and Savage, because the Pretty Sabretooths died in the battle in the arctic. Savage offers the idea of bringing Creed's violent son, Graydon Creed from another dimension to eliminate Victor Creed.
Victor Creed has an ace up his sleeve to take the leadership of the team, he has the head of Quentin Quire, who through Orchis technology can use his mental power to find out what Wolverine feels in this moment of pain and know the location of the. This sequence looks like something out of Hannibal.

Excellent chapter full of s
hocking revelations and moments of extreme violence. The Laura and Savage sequence...WOW.
Art
With details and many strokes it offers a dynamic texture that increases the level of violence.

This issue was a much needed change of pace from the violence of the first issues of this Sabretooth War as we get to see the cast deal with the repercussions of the attack on the Greenhouse. There's a great deal of character work done here with the cast that I enjoyed, everyone is struggling with the losses they have had and everyone is responding to those losses in a different way. Logan's response is heartbreaking, as we see him going mad with anger over the loss of his son, and then the silent moment of mourning he has over losing Laura. His mistakes weigh heavily on his conscience, and it is a very interesting difference between how he views his rivalry with Sabretooth compared to Sabretooth's views, which were revealed last issue.
The other exceptional thing about this issue is the art. It is beautiful and dynamic. Action scenes are filled with fluid motion and the character's faces are incredibly expressive. more

After last issue's closer look at Sabretooth's motivations, this latest chapter in the "Sabretooth War" focuses on the emotional and physical toll the conflict has taken on Wolverine and other members of X-Force.
We see a stark depiction of the aftermath the brutality from the Sabreteeth attacks. Wolverine, severely injured, reflects on the losses suffered & we see raw emotions and vulnerability displayed by this usually stoic character. We get additional moments of reflection from Aurora, Phoebe, and Sage, who are all processing what's happening in different ways. I audibly cheered when Phoebe took matters into her own hands & exacted some revenge on Captian Sabretooth.
Perhaps the most gut-wrenching scene of all though was Wolverine
opening up the present Laura left for him. The note she wrote was so sweet & is what puts Wolverine's next decision into motion. A the end of the book we see Wolverine plans to go solo in his personal battle against Sabretooth Prime, not wanting any more of his family (blood or chosen) to pay the price.
"Sabretooth War" continues to be a captivating storyline and shows it can still hit high notes when it's not throwing gore in our faces. Though the next confrontation between Wolverine & Sabretooth, whenever it happens, is likely to be an absolute bloodbath. I can't wait! more

An improvement over the previous issue, but still not quite up to the heights of the first two issues, in my opinion. I appreciated seeing how the events of the first issue impacted Aurora, and the fact that this issue, as a whole, had some slower moments to digest what's gone on thus far. Wolverine reflecting on his past is something we've gotten a good amount of over the course of this run, and Percy often does it nicely.
