Superior Spider-Man #3 does double duty on referencing older Spider-Man tales while Spidey and Doc Ock team up in a nostalgic affair. Looking back on it, I think I rather much prefer Dan Slott's run on Peter Parker than Nick Spencer and Zeb Wells. While Dan Scott made Peter Parker more immature, at least it had a solid ending.It will be hilarious if Marvel ended Zeb Wells run and we have Dan Slott's Superior Spider-Man run and Hickman's Ultimate Spider-Man run.

Slott's run wasn't perfect and he had issues too with that run. But what I did like and always will is how he centered on both Peter Parker and Spider-Man and made the story about both parts of Peter's life. It has been lacking sometimes with Zeb's run and it was horribile on the latter part of Spencer's run.

it is honestly shocking how this book is SUPERIOR compared to the Amazing Spider-Man books. While Dan Slot dropped the ball on End of Spider-Verse, this series is so far a lot of fun. Good art too, I actually want this series to end strong.

Dan Slott continues to proves he's one of the all time great Spider-Man writers. This was such a fun issue with a compelling story and cool nods to the past. Thank god we have this to enjoy with the main ASM series being so awful.
