Nov 20, 2019If you're looking for a fun superhero story with some darkness, this one's definitely for you. If you were hoping for a ray of light flung into 2099's dark future, you're going to be disappointed. I know I was. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Brandon Masters
Nov 24, 2019While only a one-shot, this book does more to flesh out the current dystopia of 2099 than Alpha attempted, and its worth reading for that alone. Fans of the FF will find a decent read here as well, but the real treat is re-reading the book again to look for hints to the ending. Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Jay Hill
Nov 20, 2019It doesn't matter if you love it or hate it, you should experience it. It's such a short and sweet (bitter to some) tale that it should be felt, the keyword, without being spoiled. It's something that can only happen sparsely because now I, and others who read it, will be on their toes. But as of now, you got me. Bravo. Read Full Review

Nov 20, 2019Fantastic Four 2099 is an interesting comic. The majority of it feels rather standard as far as a team origin. It's rather mundane in that regard. Where it stands out is that ending which plays so well against the rest of the issue. Read Full Review

Nov 25, 2019If you're a fan of the recently relaunched Fantastic Four series, you will likely be disappointed that Fantastic Four 2099 shares very little in common with their classic predecessors. This is a scattered, meandering read that does so little to establish its titular concept that even diehard fans will likely feel swindled - and given Marvel's other 2099 one-shots being offered in the coming days, this is one family gathering you can easily avoid. Comic Watch - J.A. Fludd
Nov 28, 2019This is one of the most dismal experiences I have ever had reading any comic book. A world that I didn't like visiting, characters I didn't like meeting and didn't care about, and an overall dark and nihilistic worldview combined to make me wish I hadn't taken on the task of reviewing this thing. I will make every effort to forget that I ever saw it. But it won't be easy. Read Full Review
