Marauders #18 is an overall fantastic issue with some clever underlining political undertones. The creative team finally makes use of their overlooked heroes to make for some great action scenes. Be that as it may, writer Gerry Duggan must be more mindful in some of his dialogue. Read Full Review

I really hope there is more of a plan to show the incredible ways mutants are using their powers for good in this age of Krakoa, now that they don't have to hide their gifts from the world as much as in the past. They've blessed man with cures to diseases, prolonged life expectancy and more, but now is the time to showcase the skills and abilities on a small scale, so humans of all nations can begin to appreciate what these heroes can do. Bishop, Iceman and Pyro have a run-in with the new Reavers as Homines Verendi plans their next move. I was on the fence with this series for a while and almost dropped it. But I'm happy to say Marauders seems to be getting back on track!

Interested to see if Emma knows about Moira. This was a good issue, but you wouldn't know it by the score being tanked because the same 7 people continue to "read" it and rate it as though it's something that they'd regret "buying" every month. It just raises questions.

It's not a matter of what I want to believe, you've typed it with your own fingers. And like I've said on that other post, I don't use discord. And I'm pretty sure I wouldn't "get to the bottom" of anything on a group you've brought together, doesn't seem like the ideal platform for someone who disagrees with you, wouldn't you say? :))

I'm not sure this comic knows what it wants to be. Is it a swashbuckling adventure story about life on the ocean? A political thriller that pits the powerful corrupt against the disavowed oppressed? Every time I think I know what it's going for, it switches and I'm left scratching my head.

OK issue. Nothing too spectuclair in it, but that doesn't mean that it isn't good. Very much a stepping stone to the big fight for Madripoor in #19 but the issue got some strong moments for individual characters and is overall pretty enjoyable.

Verendi spoils Kate's "help Madripoor" plans by unleashing a new clutch of Reavers. Decent plot developments and very nice art, but they're held back by a weak script. Without a central spine, this becomes an "anthology" issue of disparate scenes and it's left to the reader to contextualize them. The prose is shockingly shabby: clumsy and cliched.
