This event isn't popular, but I think it's really cool.

This was generally cool and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Nice moments but not much really happens.

The story is lacking in proper construction. The narrative isn't clear as to what is happening. It sounds big and important but the details aren't there. Characters show up and i'm supposed to care about them. No time spent on them and where they're from. I can't afford to buy the tie-ins so i'm lost as to who is what and why they're here. Just as fast as they show up, they're divided back to their old selves. I wanted to see Kamala Kang in action and some mash-ups sound intriguing but the time was not spent developing them at all. I'm hard on this issue because i really wanted to get on board the story especially when Deodato Jr. and Martin are great on art even if some panels are unclear and don't help follow Duggan's story. He did much b
etter earlier on. I hope he brings around in the last two. more

OVERVIEW
Infinity Wars #4
a) Writing/Script= 3.5/10 (G. Duggan)
b) Art= 8.1/10 (Mike Deodato)
c) Colours= 8.0/10 (Frank Martin)
Average= 6.53/10
Let me just start of by saying that this issue was better than the last few issues. Maybe i say that because Gamora isnt present in this issue's story very much. The other good thing is that the art is still great. I adored Mike Deodato's art on Gamora, now i love his art on Emma Frost. There was one panel where Emma Frost was beautifully drawn, which was when she picks up the Power Stone and says "Kang?". But also, i realised that Mike Deadato's great art doesnt fit the tone of this book. This event is now becoming very light in tone, thanks to Gerry Duggan, who is known for writing ch
aracters like Deadpool, so expect most of the characters in this book to be out of character and have the same tone as comedic characters like Deadpool. Like i said Gerry Duggan is a good writer, no doubt, but giving him an event like this just doesnt give Marvel the best results. This book is tonally inconsistent, and i hate the comedic tone they gave to characters like the Hulk in this book. Even Kang feels out of character to me. If this keeps up, it will automatically hurt the quality of the characters. Not to forget, there were some confusing moments, that just didnt make sense to me. But i wont be spoiling it. Also i didnt really care for what Loki is doing either.
But with all this negatives, i am still intrigued to see where this event goes and how it ends. So again that is the only reason why i am continuing in reading this event.
So overall, great art but the book is tonally inconsistent. I would much prefer if it had a darker tone and the characters werent acting goofy. more

Better than the previous issue, but still feels like a huge mess. It started out so good, and now it's as if even Duggan doesn't know how to finish it. Deodato's artwork isn't helping much either.

This issue is an improvement over the last ones, as it’s at least some fun and relatively linear.
However, the whole thing feels absolutely unnecessary and irrelevant. Why did this story need to be told? To reintroduce Warlock? He has hardly been the star at this and when he shows up, he is far from compelling.
The Marvel mashups are fun, sure, but who wants to read a series of mini series of characters who will never appear again?
Sadly, one of the biggesf failings of the mini is the art. Deodato art makes the story seems heavy handed when it should be somethinh lighter and otherwordly.
But well the biggest failing is the story itself. Or the non story?

Cool looking characters sadly that's it. It's just a little all over the place and doesn't do a good job keeping you in the loop.

In a way I was very surprised to see some of the mixing already ending. The story made some sense, but I'm really not a fan of this.
I liked emma. Hulk give speech make me smile. But's that it. it's very tin. And Kamala is out of character totally !
Cover - I follow the connecting variant ... Nice but not connected to what I read. Even if thanos is still not very far. 1/2
Writing - It's a little better than the previous, but far from good ! 1/3
Arts - Deodato rule. 3/3
Feeling - Why did I trust marvel on this one. No, why do I event sollicite the Infinity : Infinity 1 ... Am I mad ? 0/2

Well that cover is misleading. This issue and the whole event is just a mess.
Spoilers, but who cares.
So, Emmarine is split by Phoenix Logan who meets Loki with King Thor because...? Why? Why bring Jason Aaron's great characters to this mess if there is no reason to it? And that's what this event feels like. Great characters are in a event just to make it look cool, not that it makes sense.
He gives Loki the Power stone who can split them. How? Shouldn't Mind Stone do that? Or reality stone?
And then nothing really happens. Loki recruits Kang, Kamala, Hulk, Ant-Man because reasons. And Kang is for some reason accompying them? Why? Kang acts so out of character here.
And the main villain is some magical entity or Gamora or Wa
tchers who cares.
Marvel has a bad habit of taking good writers and making them to do an event that sucks. This event is a good example of that.
Art is nice I guess? more

This comic has a ton of problems, but drawing Kamala Khan's costume bodypaint tight is a special kind of Wrong.
