Beyond The Panel - Jideobi Odunze

    Feb 19, 2020

In just two issues, this book climbs to a must read of new Marvel books to release this year. Guardians of the Galaxy #2 pulled no punches with the reality of looking for war. Nothing is guaranteed between the difficulty you face, the challenges you will have to overcome, or the guarantee that everyone will make the return trip. Again, to say that the Guardians' first mission comes to a cataclysmic end is one heck of an understatement once you reach it yourself. Read Full Review

    GWW - Percy Waelchl

The combined narrative and artistic efforts create an issue necessary for reading twice to unpack the plot and unravel the imagery. Wherever this creative team takes these galactic heroes next will be worthy of their modern mythology status. Read Full Review

A fun read, but I'd really like to see Gamora brought into the story, which I think could well happen in next month's issue. Given how this one ended. Read Full Review

The Daily Fandom - Alex Smith-Petersen

The stars aligned for this book to exist, at this time, with these creators, and it would be a mistake to not be reading every issue as it comes out. With only two issues, I can't urge you enough to get in on the ground floor of what could become one of the definitive Guardians Of The Galaxy runs. Join me next month when Gamora and Drax join the fun! Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Nick Devonald

    Feb 19, 2020

It’s early days in Ewings run but it already looks set to be an incredible run. Clever storytelling techniques from not just Ewing but Cabal and Blee set this above other runs on Guardians. The best comics have a creative team firing on all cylinders, this one has them collaborating so closely the final product is nothing short of genius. The galaxy is sure to remain safe, it’s our heroes I’m more worried about. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Oz Longworth

    Feb 21, 2020

Ewing's new status quo for his Guardians run is keeping a consistently fun franchise on track. If there were ever a good time for a fan of the movies to treat themselves to more antics from these misfits, that time would be now and this book would be it. Read Full Review

Ewing uses GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #2 to pack a huge punch. This issue is straight-up wild! You'll read it and afterward genuinely feel blown away by the events that transpired. And if nonstop action isn't entirely your thing, Ewing introduces some pretty creepy elements as well surrounding Hephaestus and his Automatons, which seem ripped right from a horror flick. Graphic Policy - Brett

    Feb 19, 2020

Guardians of the Galaxy #2 wraps up a quick story arc. In those two issues it delivers a rollercoaster ride of a story. There's some shocking moments and a true feeling of desperation throughout. It captures that underdog essence that makes Guardians of the Galaxy a great team and series. Read Full Review

    ComicBook.com - Chase Magnett

    Feb 19, 2020

Every character has a clear set of motives and conflicts, and they have been introduced with a seemingly endless set of future directions available after only two issues. That's quite the accomplishment when relaunching a franchise that's been thoroughly overcooked. Read Full Review
