Guardians of the Galaxy #14

This is an exciting time to be a Guardians fan. If the series continues like this it will end up being one of, if not THE, best Guardians run. Al Ewing is really leaning into the teams remit as quite literal Guardians of the Galaxy and the stakes have never felt higher, the storytelling and art on a new level. While some of the dialogue may require background information on the two antagonists to appreciate fully, these two new characters are written just as well as the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy, creating some fun back-and-forth dialogue. Guardians of the Galaxy #14 delivers on exactly what it promises: Dr. Doom vs. the Guardians of the Galaxy. There's action, humor, mysteries, and big reveals in this comic book that you don't want to miss.The art and colors by Juan Frigeri and Federico Blue are excellent and Al Ewing captures the best of Dr. Doom's character. That said, I'm not too sold on the great doctor being part of the Guardians, so we'll see what Al Ewing does with that in the next issue. Read Full Review

The Guardians are in it deep as Doom tries to take control of the team. The writing is a blast, the art is getting more exciting and the team gets in it deep. It's a horrifying build up to something evil on the horizon (but also a hell of a lot of fun). Read Full Review

Just everything you’d want from a guardians book, laughed out loud at drax, I dropped my jaw at moments and I felt pride when reading star lord talk at the end, I love that guy. The art is also amazing. Having been collecting every single guardians issue from #7 of Donny cates run this is a good time to be a fan.

Good issue with alot going on however I wanted more explanation on the big threat as we are already 2 issues into a 3 part story and only have vague idea of the big bad

interesting idea of Dr. doom joining the Guardians, but honestly i have no idea what the hype is about. Plenty of other marvel stories that are better like Chip Zdarsky's Starlord run, or the classic Guardians of the Galaxy
