The adventures of the magician and the archanologist took one heck of an interesting turn through the events of Doctor Strange #3. This creative team impressed me because they took a tie-in and made it their own. That is the kind of product any reader should hope for a series, even though it is still a bad habit for Marvel to always be so quick to throw ongoing stories into an event's orbit. Read Full Review

This issue doesn't really make drastic leaps and bounds in the story but it's a short side-adventure that's still fun to read. The combat is engaging and the continued story-book style narration makes the issue a unique read. My only wish is that we get to see more unique usages of magic and less event related pop-ups. There are all sorts of feels to be had in Doctor Strange #3, this week. Mark Waid and Jesus Saiz continue the good doctor's intergalactic journey to rekindle his magical ability with his ally, Kanna. The book opens with a montage of the duo's explorations to a handful of worlds, followed by a scene where the two begin to share the details of their pasts. In four pages, the creative team propels the budding relationship between Strange and Kanna to a more intimate level. Read Full Review

Mark Waid did it again. A great issue, great fantasy story. I was worried for Strange. I hate his last action against Kanna. They even succeed humanizing the skull. Good stuff in this. I wonder who the stone will fall in the wrong hand ^^ I would have like more creativity for the mystic art they find on another planets, but I'm very picky there. Love how Strange use the time stone to his advantage. And so happy to see Bats ! Cover - Nice & related 2/2 Writing - I like the time Waid take to tell this story. Putting some drama in it. Even if the "you sleep with" a skrull part was too long. 3/3 Arts - Said did awesome job inventing the skull homeworld. Maybe sometime the background was a little light, but I picky there too. 3/3 Feeling - I was a little worried after the two excellent first issue I will not like this story. Or that the Infinity Countdown link will fuck the story. But no this was a very fun reading. 2/2 more

This book has it all. A great story and narration by Waid, a great tie-in to Infinity Wars and then the best looking art by Jesus Saiz. The best book for me this week!!

Just finished reading the three issues that are out and I must say I am very impressed. The book has a very strong narration, interesting plot and great artwork. This issue was the best out of the bunch so far. I really hope it stays this way as I am very enjoying it.

I'm not reading Infinity Wars, nor do I have any interest in doing so. Thankfully, this tie-in stands on its own merits and requires no further reading to be enjoyed. I'm already getting a sense of the chemistry between Stephen and his new ally. The plot is interesting and has a deviously satisfying ending.

Dr. Strange's magical mystery tour gives him the opportunity to snaffle the Time Stone off Kl'rt the Super Skrull. It's a very well-told tale in itself. I was dead bored during the "space magic" montage at the start, though, and conclusion promises more of the same in the future. It's disappointing after the body of the issue delivered so much Infinity Stone drama. Excellent art, although there are some heinous copy-paste beat panel moments.

You ruined this series for me, Marvel. I can accept if you will tie issue after first TPB to event. But no #3. Out of my pull list.
