    AIPT - David Brooke

Devil's Reign: Superior Four #1 is a great start that'll have Doc Ock fans thirsty for more. As a reader who loved Superior Spider-Man, it's an easy recommendation as the creative team clearly understands the character. Revel in this series as it knows an ego can be a beautifully fun thing. If you read the solicits this comic could sound weird bordering on gimmicky. More often than not a character gets used in story because they weren't being used elsewhere. That is far from the case here. If the comparison between Otto and a member of the Four's extended cast didn't exist before today, it does now. It will be interesting to read how Otto fares against one of him who will always view him as "Inferior". Good thing he has a team of him now. Because in order to get back being "Superior" he will first have to be "Fantastic". Read Full Review

THE DISPATCHTell me if you heard this one before? Guy goes across the multiverse sniffing out variants of himself. Well, if you've recently seen LOKI on Disney Plus, Jonathan Hickmans AVENGERS and FANTASTIC FOUR runs, as well as the movie by Jet Li called THE ONE, then the premise should sound familiar. So, is that basically whats happening in DEVILS REIGN: SUPERIOR FOUR? Not quite. There is more to it under the surface with even more wrinkles to wet your whistle in order to make this series super interesting. However, it does provide the backdrop for the title with a few creative twists. Read Full Review

Devil's Reign: Superior Four #1 is a comic that has many more smarts and much more fun than it has any right to. Don't let its tie-in status fool you - this is a highly enjoyable read. Read Full Review

An ambitious entry into the relatively small-scale Devil's Reign event. More diversity with the Otto variants would be helpful, but for now the unique character designs overshadow the static characterizations. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - William Tucker

Devils Reign: Superior Four #1 is a bizarre comic. On the one hand, it is a very fun, character-driven story. However, there appears to be no connection to Devils Reign at all. Read Full Review

It's unclear exactly what the stakes or consequences of this adventure are, or even Otto's goals. That results in a debut detached from Devil's Reign and uncertain of its own focus. Read Full Review

Underrated! Cool storyline. Fun art. Really captures the Octavius we've known and hated. And it's important to the Devil's Reign storyline.

Love it. A nod to Superior Spider-man is a win for me.

I debated whether or not to pick this one up at my lcs but decided I'd give it a shot. Honestly I was worried it'd be a bit to gimmicky for me but I ended up really enjoying it. I found myself really interested in the story and loved the writing style. I'm definitely on board for this one

Multiverse stuff in comics has been done to death at this point, and yet this one still manages to be a fun romp with four pretentious assholes looking to murder their alternate selves for reasons that are suspect at best. You don't need to be reading Devil's Reign to jump onto this, it seems to have little if any functionality as a tie-in. I'd recommend this to Superior Spider-Man fans before I'd ever recommend it to anyone reading Devil's Reign.

There's a little bit of a nonsensical nature to this, but it is just Ock being Ock. That is fun, I don't care what you say.

I knew as far as Devil's Rein tie-ins go, this would be disposable. I was just hoping it would also be enjoyable.

There's not much I like reading less than a writer with a thesaurus trying to sound smarter than he is.

Classic Zac Thompson, as in random, pretentious yet with no substance, nonsense.
