You Don't Read Comics - Kellie Keener

    Dec 11, 2019

Its unclear how big of a part Singularity will play in future issues, or if shell play any part at all. Even if she doesnt appear after this story, it was great to see her reunited with Carol again. This new run of Captain Marvel has been an incredible exploration of the character. Pushing her beyond her limits like never before, and this issue is a perfect example of that. Read Full Review

The Daily Fandom - Megan Prevost

Definitely. However, I highly recommend that you start at least from issue #12. If you can get the series from the beginning, do it. #12 is where this story's arc starts, so to be clued in, you should really start there. However, if you're on a budget, you could get away with starting on Captain Marvel #13. All you really need to know is that she kills Thor in #12 and you're golden. Read Full Review

Word Of The Nerd - Cat Wyatt

Captain Marvel #13 had big shoes to fill, thanks to the dramatic and alarming previous issue. And yet it held up to fans' expectations, while also keeping to the promise made. It was intense and brilliant and full of action. And it's going to make for a very memorable issue. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Charles Hartford

    Dec 11, 2019

When all is said and done Captain Marvel #13 proves itself to be another worthy entry in this ongoing story. Thompson and crew continue to shine as they never fail to highlight that the best parts of our heroes aren't their powers. Though they show us those are pretty cool too. Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Charles Martin

    Dec 11, 2019

Captain Marvel #13 crosses Tony Stark off Carol's hit list while also explaining just enough of what's going on. Carol's in a dreadfully tight spot, but she's also working a counter-scheme against her antagonist. With enough structure to rationalize the story and plenty of stellar creative work in the art and words, this issue assures the reader that leaning in and enjoying this arc's ride is going to be a blast. Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

    Dec 12, 2019

Captain Marvel #13 was a tightly paced comic book, delivering a solid second chapter to "The Last Avenger" storyline. Kelly Thompson wasted no time in giving us a fun showdown between Captain Marvel and Iron Man. The way that fight leads into understanding why Captain Marvel is working with Vox Supreme helped create an emotional connection to what is motivating Carol Danvers. In the process, Thompson, along with Lee Garbett and Tamra Bonvillain, creates greater excitement for how things will go down in "The Last Avenger." Read Full Review
