Comic Crusaders - Johnny "The Machine" Hughes
Jan 27, 2020It has been said before that Captain Marvel lives in the good graces of Marvel needing a premier female superhero. After all, how else can you explain the myriad attempts of having her lead a series? In Thompson, Carol has a writer that obviously loves the character and whilst loving a character is different to having a successful book, in this instance I think that Thompson, along with Garbett, have finally hit the right balance. The Daily Fandom - Megan Prevost
Jan 30, 2020Kelly Thompson is a phenomenal writer in everything that she does. She has a way of making each character's voice sound so unique and on point with the character's history. The way that she writes Thor is hilarious and perfect, and she is the only person I want to write Captain Marvel. The art is beautiful, especially with Captain Marvel's new costume and makeup. This four-part arc is so much fun and so entertaining, so you should definitely read it if you're a Captain Marvel fan. Read Full Review

Jan 25, 2020Captain Marvel #14 has a super strong script and even more powerful visuals, you would think that's enough right? Well, maybe not. I'm here to say that this is the issue where we get Carol in her most badass form yet, with black fingernails and everything. Read Full Review

Word Of The Nerd - Cat Wyatt
Jan 22, 2020Captain Marvel #14 was another dramatic event in this plot arc, and I honestly couldn't get enough of it. This issue had a little bit of everything, all in the right proportions, and that made for one memorable issue. The conclusion to this issue is making me more than a little bit anxious to see what happens next. But that's not a bad thing. Or that surprising, given how much I've been enjoying "The Last Avenger" to begin with. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - Aaron Anderson
Jan 22, 2020The story is slowly filling in the mystery of Vox and his machinations but with the almost guaranteed fight scenes in each issue it really keeps the adrenaline up. Garbett and Bonvillain are a match made in heaven they hit the perfect balance of comic/realism. I have to say though if it wasn't for this semi- down moment in the beginning where the characters just got to talk to each other for a minute I would have tired of the whole hit'em hard and fast approach Carol has to take with the Avengers. Jan 28, 2020Captain Marvel #14 has a different focus from the last two issues in this story arc. While we are past the idea that this story might be showing what Carol would be capable of flipping the script on the Avengers, we are greeted with more mystery and progression in where this story is actually taking us. Jan 01, 1970With all these elements taken together Captain Marvel #14 is a very good example of a mid-chapter. It builds characters and has some exciting moments that keep you entertained, even if the overall plot doesn't feel move very far. The finale leaves me looking forward to next month's issue with eagerness. Read Full Review

Jan 27, 2020Captain Marvel #14 was another solid chapter in "The Last Avenger" storyline. Jan 27, 2020Thompson and Garbett deliver the goods as far as Carol Danvers' one-woman war on the Avengers, and that more than makes up for any clunkiness along the way. As far as Thompson's tenure on Captain Marvel, this has been a truly fun arc, and one you should definitely give a shot. Read Full Review
