Kelly Thompsons been working on Carol and her world for almost four years, and she just keeps on going, giving us one of the most consistently great comics coming from the Big Two, and is easily one of the best female lead titles on stands. Shes been world building Carol that reminds me of what we saw with Geoff Johnss run on Green Lantern, with the difference shes giving us a much more intimate look into who Carol is, why she does what she does, and why shes Marvels premiere female superhero. Almost 50 issues in, and I still cant wait to see what she does next. Read Full Review

Captain Marvel#46 and the larger "Revenge of the Brood is the book I wanted for years as an X-Men fanandas a Captain Marvel fan. Thompson's writing perfectly balances some pure fun, comic book goodness with deeper plots that promise payoff. Each character feels like they get their moment and with Rogue coming into the fold next issue, it's surely only going to get better. Read Full Review

While the inner monologue did not work to tap into the full potential of things Kelly Thompson previously established the dynamic between all the characters was done well. Hazmat, Polaris, and Psylocke stole the show in this issue. Good artwork from Javier Pina made Captain Marvel #46 another solid chapter in The Revenge Of The Brood story. Read Full Review

OK...I admit that I have only started reading Captain Marvel recently because of the inclusion of my favorite X-Man (Psylocke), but DAMN!...this is some good sh!t. The story is nicely paced and while I'm not very familiar with Captain Marvel, I'm able to follow along. But as good as the story has been, the art in this issue is NEXT level. Very much looking forward to the rest of the issues.

This is probably my favorite issue of what has been a great arc. The dialog is fantastic and really let's the personalities of the characters shine. The story has developed at a great pace not feeling to rushed. I have always enjoyed when the x-men tangle with the brood and this story is true to form and really put together well. I have to wonder who all is infected and what problems that will cause. Though we all know Laura isn't infected so she is sure to be key in this. This story continues to be great and I can't wait for the crossover with the x-men for the next chapter

A pair of snappy running battles run in parallel here. Plot developments are small but very important, and a touch of real depth in Carol's characterization lends the script weight. The art does a terrific job of turning the issue's brevity into a wholly positive thing. This issue has a ton of dynamic action moments, and they're made gripping by dramatic blocking and superb polish.

This is a filler issue. Nothing really happens. There is far too much inner dialogue here. They are trying to rescue Binary, who is being tortured, yet they have time to sit and chat for half the issue. Carol gives Psylocke permission to learn about her child. It's all just strange. I'm not reading the X-men tie-in, but they find Rogue -- I'm confused here. Rogue died and was reincarnated on Earth (as all mutants do), yet she's here with the Brood. What the..? A meh issue.
