    AIPT - Lia Galanis

As far as current Marvel titles go,Captain Marvelis consistently one of the best. Thompson's writing is quick-witted, funny, and emotional, and Garbett's pencils get the job done with an extra bang. Read Full Review

Captain Marvel #24 is a thrilling read, with more than one mic-drop worth talking about among fans. The ending alone is enough to have me counting down the days until the next issue, all while thinking about the revelations that have already occurred. Read Full Review

One of the biggest highlights of this arc though continues to be the team of heroes Thompson's assembled, and after meeting all these wonderful characters it's going to be hard to eventually say goodbye, and fingers crossed we don't have to completely when all is said and done. I really enjoyed the late issue unveilings and cant wait to check back in next month to see how this all shakes out. I hope Kelly Thompson enjoys a really lengthy run on this book because there has nary been a bad issue and Captain Marvel #24 is no different! Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - Aaron Anderson

    Dec 10, 2020

This was an OK issue. Carol and her team did too many stupid things just to progress the plot in my opinion. I thought the Flashback art by Ortega looked better than Garbett's for some reason and I love Garbett's art normally. He just doesn't seem to be hitting on all cylinders for me on this arc, not like he was on the Last Avenger arc. It might be because everything feels like we are just walking around in an apocalyptic hell. This issues story was just too predictable it was frustrating. I was yelling at the page like some cheesy 80's horror movie, "NO DON"T GO IN THERE WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Read Full Review

Cptain Marvel #24 did what it needed to do tell the story of Ove and why he is the antagonist of this story. There are some spots in the way this issue progressed that may come across as boring. But with how things ended the remaining issues of this arc are set-up to conclude the story strong. Read Full Review

Ove makes his pitch for his paradise and creeps on Carol while telling his backstory. The heroes march into the belly of the beast and, inevitably, get beaten. It's nicely drawn and written with wit, but at bottom it's a very familiar story: Heroes walk into a trap expecting a trap but still get clobbered/captured because a dramatic reversal is obligatory at the end of act 2.

This was pretty good, but there was a ton of exposition, and the comic was a bit wordy in general.

Not a fan of this arc. I get Kelly Thompson wants to expand on the world she created with Captain Marvel: End, however another alternate world story arc in a run is too much. The sooner this is over the better
