Cable #6 was a very good issue and it gave fans what they wanted; fights, deaths and violence. Gerry Duggan again comes through and delivers the best issue of the crossover. Phil Notos stylistic art continues to impress every time he works on a book. Cable #6 should not be missed. Read Full Review

The event is quickly coming to an end and I don't know what the result is going to be. Perhaps it was a cop out to have Krakoa get so many points this issue but regardless the tension is returning. The helplessness of the Contest has ended and now it is coming down to the wire. Read Full Review

Despite this, Gerry Duggan does a good job with the dialogue, providing what is arguably his strongest work in the Cableseries thus far. As usual, Phil Noto's art is breathtaking, never missing a beat. Nathan learning humility and how to lose could be interesting moving forward, regardless of the frustrating nature of his battle. And, of course, the set up for Apocalypse vs. Genesis is palpable, a (hopefully) thrilling conclusion which readers will finally get their hands on next week. Read Full Review

Overall this chapter was a mixed bag of good and not so good moments. We do have three chapters left in this event. From what we have seen so far anything could literally happen. I just hope we get a satisfying ending to it because after this chapter, I worry we won’t. Read Full Review

Cable #6 was exactly what X Of Swords after the mix bag that has been the second half of this X-Men crossover. There was a genuine sense of urgency as characters, specifically on the X-Men side, had to come to terms with how bad things are in this tournament that X Of Swords is about. Hopefully that urgency is carried over to the final three chapters of the latest X-Men crossover. Read Full Review

I know people don't like Kid Cable. Blah blah blah. Anyways, with Noto's art this was easily the best issue of the entire cross-over since Creation for me. Everything worked. And The White Sword is far and away the most interesting new character to come out of this entire Arakko storyline in my opinion.

Another strong issue for X of Swords as we get into the final few issues. Noto's art delivers once again here, and I thought Duggan wrote a really good story. Cable hesitating and basically getting demolished by Bei was interesting, and I really liked Gorgon's battle with White Sword and his One Hundred Champions also.

This one actually made sense in a sea of senseless romps. Duggan and Noto are a great team. But having your 19th chapter trying to make sense and tie up loose ends of the other 18 chapters will take away from it. I actually believe Hickman when he said he was trying to get fired but I guess the editors didn't question anything or even took it further than he even dared to go.

It was better than hellions but still not quite the level x of swords was at in my opinion. It was light on dialogue which isn’t the style I prefer but it was still very good

Another bit of Saturnyne's caprice suddenly ties the score, after Cable's spirit is broken in defeat. The art is good. The language is terse, but solid. This is fast-paced -- both within the issue and in terms of the overall event -- and the finale that's suddenly on deck has a fine feeling of inevitability. I knew this fight was coming, but the event has been so wild that I have no idea exactly how it'll end.

XOS Ch. 19: Cable #6 is kind of an emotional rollercoaster, though to be honest the whole thing with Bei is still kinda weird. I feel like there wasn't enough build-up with her character to explain why Cable stalled. I know she's Cypher's wife now but that whole subplot has felt forced and out of nowhere. Still though, good art and some decent fights overall.

I would have given a higher score because i actually liked the issue, unfortunately the action is just terribly drawn. I don't understand how the superhero genre consistently has such bad action. There's more to this than just drawing cool poses.

This is my last issue of Cable until a new creative team is on the book. He came back and killed the old Cable because he was soft and was not capable of making the tough choices without his morals standing in the way. Fast forward to now. He is now a character that has more in common with a teen CW network character than the original Cable or even a soldier for that matter. Its not a terrible story or comic it just is not any Cable that I recognize. If you like teen cheese then this book is fine.
