I really enjoyed the prehistoric Avengers spotlight issues in the past, and this is similarly good in that regard. It is not, however, a conclusion to this arc. This arc had horrible pacing, nothing much happened, and I wouldn't even say it had a structure. And this conclusion issue just caps it all off in the same regard. I hope Avengers Assemble is better, but I doubt it will be.

It's a cromulent build-up for the climactic finale, but the sheer length and twistiness of the road that's brought us here has me exhausted even before we start. And though there's a basic logic to all the Cave-Venger philosophy and character work here, there's not a lot of depth. Plus I'm quite infuriated by the "Agamotto's backstory? Who knows LOL" routine.

Still here just because why stop now with less than 10 issues to go after 4 years. Fiorelli as an artist is good and has a lot of potential.

I cannot wait for this Avengers run to be over. Another brutal issue. I only hope that the last arc will be exciting but this issue in particular was so boring that I had to skip sections of it. Nonsense narratives, pointless Mephisto encounter, depressing and cynical dialogue... is Jason Aaron, okay? Does he need an intervention or some kind? I have stuck through this run, which at this point will be a contender for worst Avengers run ever, because I generally love reading Avengers comics. It will take a particularly poor ending to contend with the 300-340ish era of Avengers, but that's where it's going in my opinion. It's not like the story is a bad idea though.
