• The epic conclusion of THE CHAMELEON CONSPIRACY!
•  If you thought the end of "King's Ransom" shook Spider-Man to the core, you better think again as this ending will level things up.

All of the artist bring some amazing visual flair to every page and panel. There are great character moments captured with light and shadow and the action moments are beautifully drawn and filled with great energy and excitement. Read Full Review

This story should be a stone grove winner for me. It has: the Chameleon, Chance, the Foreigner, a bevy of Jack O Lanterns and Chameleons, and Silver Sable, but Im afraid that the schedule got the best of Spencer, and bringing on Brisson came a little too late. The countdown to the end needs to land or else I fear Spencers run might fall flat. Read Full Review

Amazing Spider-Man returns this week with a giant-sized issue, and Chameleon Conspiracy wraps up some of its ends nicely before fraying a few more. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Collier "CJ" Jennings

Giant-Size Amazing Spider-Man: The Chameleon Conspiracy #1 wraps up a rather convoluted storyline that doesn't quite stand up to the quality of other major storylines, though it does have great art. I hope that the upcoming Sinister War is crafted with more care and that Spencer leaves the title on a high note. Read Full Review

Giant-Size Amazing Spider-Man: Chameleon Conspiracy #1 wraps things up involving the Chameleon and the Clairvoyant. However, the story does far too much teasing of the truth behind the Chameleon and Teresa Parker. By the end, the comic provides a very predictable ending to the story that makes the whole storyline feel kind of pointless. Thankfully, the setup for the upcoming Sinister War looks far more fun and appealing than the concluded Chameleon Conspiracy. Read Full Review

The issue wraps up the storyline in explosive fashion (heh), with a host of cameos late foreshadowing new stories to come involving Silver Sable, Taskmaster and Black Ant, Kindred, Doctor Octopus, Kraven, and Electro. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

    Jul 03, 2021

Giant-Size Amazing Spider-Man: The Chameleon Conspiracy #1 is a complete mess. Every aspect of this storyline is rushed to the point you don't care about anything that happens or the characters involved. And when all is said and done you are just left with the feeling that Nick Spencer and Marvel are just trying to end this era of Amazing Spider-Man as quickly as possible. That unfortunately leads to an event like The Chameleon Conspiracy that ends up being nothing more than a filler story arc. Read Full Review
