This issue introduces diverse Sacrificers, reflecting their communities' varying treatment. Remender's signature ambiguity engages readers while expanding the narrative. However, it lacks his usual moments of profound silence. The artwork blends seamlessly with the story, breathing life into characters and enhancing the overall experience. The world building is fantastic in this. A testament to the storytelling ability of Mr Remender. 2 issues in and we know so much about how this world operates and what these select few Sacrificers experience dependant on their culture. We still don't have full answers but it is clear this story is going to pose interesting questions about the nature of faith duty and... sacrifice.

Not much happens in this issue. They pick up an Orca creature, who gives herself willingly (I think it's a female, but not sure). She's the only one that thinks the end of their journey will work out well. She ends up being correct -- for now. The two humans are really crappy people who beat on the Orca character for no reason.
