Under the Influence #1 feels timely and real in a way that it could be happening anywhere that people with a WiFi connection are doing things for views and those who don't quite get it are getting mad about it.

Where the tension and action of Under the Influence shines is in its carefully curated dialog. The whole book is full of layered conversations that feel as manufactured and polished as the biggest influencer's aspirational posts about coffee or pampas grass. I hate this book… and I love it.
