    Rae Allen captures the open expanse of the American West in the age of cattle rustlers and open planes. There is a brilliant artistry at play here that Rae has crafted in such a way that you can feel the warm sun and see the haze of a mirage on the horizon. Michelle Madsen‘s colorwork floods in like wildflowers and tallgrass, really lending the feel of a natural expanse that balances so perfectly between an “old west” folk story and the looming dread of something awful coming at dusk.     Plot Carmen Daschier/Red Claw is a sort of bounty hunter of demons and supernatural beings when she's hired to investigate the massacre of cattle on a ranch attacked by a supernatural animal. Someone from her past warns her about what's happening... her brother Sebastian... The comic shows the tragedy Carmen experienced as a child, which changed her life in a painful and brutal way. Carmen is the owner of the Red Claw Ranch, and she doesn't need the money she earns by eliminating demons. On this ranch, some unknown people warn her that all her land is cursed.
