Nerd Initiative - Richard Coryell
Jun 11, 2025This issue hits a fever pitch of drama and suspense. As the time gets closer for the nuke to go off, and at the same time the battle between Tariq and Ash intensifies, it really creates an amazing atmosphere for this issue. Geoff Johns masterfully set all of this up, and just when the powder keg was at the peak of volatility an amazing swerve takes place. This is a master class in writing. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Jun 14, 2025Tariq Geigers story reaches a resting point beyond all the conflcit, but there is clearly more on the horizon ad Johns and company work their way through a story that might end up delivering one of the longer-run post-apocalyptic wasteland heroes in the history of sci-fi. So often the main character of a post-apocalyptic world really is the world itself. With Geier, Johns has made a super-heroic character who is actually quite a bit more interesting than the world that he inhabits. Its compelling stuff. Read Full Review
