Plot Ghost Machine and Geiger celebrate a year of surprising and exciting with this release! May many more years to come! Ash Arden begins training Tariq in how to control his power by removing the boro rods. According to Ash, it's a process of mental anger management. Geiger recalls the first moment she was able to control her power without the rods, when he saved those two children in Volume 1. Ash tells Tariq part of her story. Apparently, for unknown reasons, she survived the nuclear bomb at the age of three and acquired her powers, but everyone around her died of cancer caused by her radiation. Many believed her to be a kind of goddess. She escaped for years and was persecuted for Geiger's crimes, so there's a kind of hidden re sentment. Doctor Molotov created her vest with boron rods like Geiger's, which made her begin to control her powers. The first test of training is to exact revenge on the apocalyptic cult called the God's Chosen, who claim to be God's chosen ones to save the world after the apocalypse. Ash meets with leader Jonas Hillborn, whom she accuses of Molotov's death. Hillborn denies it, and a fight ensues, where Geiger loses control and fries everyone. Ash seems to enjoy absorbing Geiger's radiation. The cosmic series closes with a shocking revelation, with Ash reaching a hidden basement where she is holding... Doctor Molotov! This is one of the best comic series right now, from its art to its brilliantly narrated plot by Geoff Johns, which makes for an addictive read. Art Gary Frank and Brad Anderson achieve the perfect balance of highly detailed, organic art with clear colors that hold nothing back. Every panel on every page is mesmerizing; each time you look at it, you discover new and incredible details. Rob Leigh's lettering is an onomatopoeic adrenaline rush. Summary Geiger relies on Ash Arden's training to learn how to control his powers, but she hides much more than she lets on. The final revelation is a thrilling plot twist more
