    Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez

SPACE GHOST #5 is another winning entry in the series when Space Ghost is forced into an impossible situation. David Pepose's script hits all the right notes with edge-of-your-seat action, gut-wrenching drama, and a titanic challenge for our heroes to overcome. A large amount of the success of this issue is due to Jonathan Lau's artwork, which nails the energetic action and deep emotional beats in equal measure. Read Full Review

What a fun ride this issue was! The stakes are high, the action is dynamic, and the characters are captivating! David Pepose continues to revive Space Ghost and pull him back into the ranks of the greatest superheroes of all time. Pepose is not alone in this either. Jonathan Lau's and Andrew Dalhouse's artwork is beautiful, exceptional, immersive…there's too many adjectives to list. Read Full Review

David Pepose continues his Space Ghost story with some wonderful action beats and fun dialogue exchanges between Space Ghost and Zorak who is quite frankly a few cards short of a full deck. Read Full Review

    Lotusland Comics - Hank Rea

'Space Ghost' is the most thoroughly exciting space adventure of the year. Pepose blends nostalgia with daring heroics that are sweeping and compelling in the same way vintage sci-fi serials were in the 50s but supercharged for modern times. This issue sets up more conflict for the future and that's great news because it deserves a long run.  Read Full Review

    Comic Watch - Theron Couch

Pepose and Lau deliver no shortage of action here which makes for a fun issue. But better than exciting action is action with a purpose. This multipronged effort by Space Ghost, Jace, and Jan to stop a war shows off how far the trio has come in their partnership since their initial meeting. Though not character development in a strict sense, the story is informative. The result is that Space Ghost #5 is the best action oriented issue in this run. Read Full Review

    The Comicbook Dispatch - batfan1992

Space Ghost #5 does an excellent job of reimagining Space Ghost villains like Zorak and Lokar. It also presents heavy emotional challenges for the likes of Jan and Jace, and expands upon the characterization of Space Ghost and shows that he cares about the safety of the kids. What will become of Jace now after the events of this issue? Will he continue to help his sister and Space Ghost? Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Canham

    Sep 11, 2024

'Space Ghost' #5 continues the reboot's run of fun, action-packed sci-fi adventures. Unfortunately, this chapter tries to do too much with just one issue. Still, David Pepose obviously has a great love for the characters and their relationships, even when those moments feel squeezed into this issue. Jonathan Lau's art is still the highlight, due to the awesome action sequences, even in a slightly weaker showing. Read Full Review
