Surprisingly, both of Taylor's books seem to be staying out of Absolute Power at the moment, with more than enough subplots to keep them busy, but both are working with common themes of heroes battling against propaganda and a lack of public trust. In Hell, Hera arrives to strike a partnership with Blaze as she's also aware of the dangers with Dark Raven. And she's got a surprising asset on her side. This issue was an unneeded detour on an arc that needed to wrap up earlier so the Titans could play their main DC hero team role in Absolute Power as they've been positioned. Read Full Review

Other than the opening page and final three pages Titans #13 is largely a filler chapter in the "Dark-Winged Queen storyline. That is not a good thing considering those pages are the ones involving the Titans themselves. Read Full Review

Good issue. I liked Beast Boy's continuing self doubt, it's a good drama thread in the story, which progressed at a good pace. I'm very ready for this bad Raven angle to be done, but it's being handled well. The art was kinda meh, but not distractingly so. Solid all around issue.

Though I really enjoyed the issue and think Apex Ava is a great villain for Beast Boy, it was pretty lame to start off the reveal and battle with Evil Raven only to have everyone quickly mind wiped and just shift to a different story.

I agree with other reviewers that this was a weak issue, mostly because it makes no sense. Dark Raven confronts Nightwing, who now knows that Raven is evil. However, in his devine leadership, he decides to keep it from them. Then he allows them to go on a mission alone, knowing that they are in danger from her. It really paints Dick in a bad light as both a friend and a leader. I'm not sure what Tom Taylor was thinking here. Also, isn't he off the book soon? He really needs to wrap this up. A solid issue here, but it also felt like a filler story that didn't have a whole lot to do with the current ongoing storyline aside from a couple of pages. Nicuolo's art was good here, though a little rough in certain spots. Hopefully the next issue gets things back on track.

I was too harsh on Nightwing if this book is the quality we *could* be getting. Everything is rehashes, while nothing feels like it matters. Especially not this issue.
