DC Comics News - Derek McNeil

    Dec 15, 2021

Tim Sheridan's direction for the Titans has made Teen Titans Academy one of the most exciting titles of the Infinite Frontier era. The threads he has been laying since Future State: Teen Titans are coming together, and I look forward to see where all this is leading in the months ahead. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Swara Ahmed

    Dec 14, 2021

Teen Titans Academy #9is an exciting and chilling propulsion of the story forward. Sheridan writes the teachers and students into their most challenging struggle yet, and the art by Norton stands out especially as he designs all these heroes in a formal gathering. There's drama at the dance, and you won't want to miss out on it in this unexpectedly chilling story. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke

Teen Titans Academy #9 is a good blend of the innocence of these young heroes and the dark ramifications of what they face from villains outside of the school. There is a lot of weight resting on their abilities, but what about their emotional readiness? What about deserving a childhood? These are themes Sheridan touches on and it's exciting to see what happens next. Read Full Review

I'm curious what this shocking moment means for the cast and especially Red X. He made a difficult decision that is going to alter the course of the rest of the series. I wonder how the students will respond when they find out or how long it'll take for them to find out after what the Titans witnessed. Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Eric Shea

    Dec 14, 2021

While you do get our Titans reunited with Roy Harper this issue, the reunion kind of comes off a bit lackluster and is quickly overshadowed by some weird Red X stuff that ultimately feels like we're continuing to elevate the character by making others look worse. There's a lot of padding this issue that it doesn't need but more than anything this series feels like it just doesn't want to tell a story and is simply here to string us along as much as it can. Teen Titans Academy seems like its on a precipice and in danger of losing all of its positive momentum earned over recent months. My interest is waning, but Im hopeful Sheridan can make this a title worth being excited about again. Read Full Review
