This was a solid issue, packed with quips, action, romance and heart. It was fun to look at, too. You can't go wrong with a creative team like Taylor and Timms. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Swara Ahmed

Superman: Son of Kal-El #6is a great story that sets aside heavy action to focus on the importance of investigative journalism and holding people in power accountable. Taylor writes Jon and his supporting characters with great detail and emotional depth, Timms art with HI-FI's colors is beautifully immersive, and Sharpe's letters make this great issue an even greater read. Superman: Son of Kal-El remains one of the best Superman stories out in years, and I highly recommend you pick it up. Read Full Review

Superman: Son of Kal-El #6 serves as a strong reminder that not every issue of a superhero comic has to be all action or have something on fire to be satisfying and worthy and to keep things going forward. Read Full Review

Superman: Son of Kal-El #6 is another stellar issue from Tom Taylor and and John Timms. While I'm still unconvinced that aging Jon to adulthood was a good move, Taylor is producing some great storytelling based on it. While that decision is still somewhat a bitter pill, Taylor's series is making it somewhat easier to swallow. Read Full Review

Superman: Son Of Kal-El #6 is a fun little comic. It loads up more ammo for the Superman vs. Bendix and Gamorra plot in an entertaining fashion. The Superman books are in a great palace right now, and Taylor and Timms are doing a great job. This issue is yet another example of how great this comic is. Read Full Review

This wasnt a very eventful installment, but the overall quality remains high with this title. Taylor doesnt have to be flashy with Son of Kal-El. The adventures of Jons path as Superman dont have to be major crises every issue and Taylors approach is working to maintain interest for the next installment. Read Full Review

Everything continues along nicely between the story and the characters. I fear that Superman himself is getting a little lost in the shuffle, but it's not as bad as it sounds. Read Full Review

Okay, I definitely had some minor qualms with this issue but overall this was the best one of the title so far. I like getting more information about Jay. I like Lois being part of the book. And I loved the Robin appearance. Hoping this continues to improve. Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Eric Shea

In a story that gives us great art and some great character moments in showing how much people love Jon, we have a strange thing going on here where Jay Nakamura seems to just be the new The Aerie for how he's presented with his backstory here and while it may play out satisfyingly later, here it just feels strange, not to mention that while things seem to be ramping up, Jon feels like he's barely concerned. A mixed bag for me but definitely has a feel that I hope continues going forward with the characters involved.  Read Full Review
