Marc Andreyko is doing some stellar work fleshing Kara Zor-El and her world out into something more substantial, and Doc Shaner makes the adventure a visual treat. Highly recommended. Read Full Review

The only negative thing to take away from this book, is that the villains are not as involved as they should be. The are staying in the shadows and I would like to see more from them. I want to see their motivations and why they did what they did. I hope the answers come soon. Read Full Review

Kara's quest to find out what really happened to Krypton and Rogol Zaar's involvement continues in Supergirl #24 and while earlier issues have struggled with how Supergirl is portrayed, this week's issue hits it just right. Read Full Review

Supergirl doesnt really acquire any new information about Rogol Zaar, but by the end of this issue she has reached the remains of Krypton, the scene of the crime, so to speak. Read Full Review

Overall, we get more details to inform us on this journey. The suit has a finite energy battery. She can recharge the suit different ways. She has Daredevil powers. She has acquired another crystal. She met Z'ndr and has brought him along. Gandelo is spying on her already. Read Full Review

This was a very beautiful and highly recommended issue from an artistic standpoint. We rarely get Shaner art anymore so anything works for me. The story is fun enough though the momentum gained in the last issue is somewhat lost, if not totally. Read Full Review

Overall, I think this was a fun and action packed chapter in the Supergirl saga that does a good job at pushing the story further just enough to keep me hooked in for the ride and had an ending that has me worried for Kara and left me waiting to know what happens next. I also like that Kara has someone new to travel with, and I'm interested to learn more about him and his motivations and to see if maybe there is something between these two that will develop down the way. Supergirl #24 was a solid mid of the road issue. Nothing too crazy happens but it does help propel the ongoing story. It also serves as a pretty good jumping on point for new readers as well. The art is fantastic and Shaner with Fairbairn is always incredible to look at. I am just not sold that the art fits with the story. It just feels like two different tones and that they do not match up with each other. Read Full Review

The issue focuses around a single scene that doesn't really go anywhere for most of the issue. Maybe there are aspects that have been dropped that will affect the book going forward but until then it was a bit weird for the book to not go anywhere in this issue. We can see all the complications and divergences that could lead the story further. For fans of the Legion of Superheroes, it's an extra treat to have Doc Shaner giving us great scenes between Kara...and a mysterious Coluan!

I can't help but love this series. It feels like a Green Lantern book, but with Supergirl instead... I think what I love most is that it feels like a legit adventure and the galaxy feels alive and developed.

Very good issue but seriously Kara you don't take stowaways from people you meet at a bar. Even if they do look like Chris Pratt. It's so great to get a comic that shows you the badass Kara. You get an issue that progresses the story a bit and with some action. Do all planets have a spot to recharge your yellow sun solar powers though? Does her costume change whenever she presses something on her crest?
