Itsa great book with great art, and suggests a sequel or ongoing may be in ourfuture. If the same creative team remains in place, Im all for it. Hopefully,DC, Simone and Melo are on board for the ride. My only concern is for Plasssidekick. Not sure Im digging the whole gender fluidity thing in such a youngcharacter, but Im willing to be open minded. Hopefully, Ill learn something. Read Full Review

This is a fun and emotionally satisfying end to this mini-series. The last page promises us that Plastic Man will return, and with Janet out there, she certainly the odds on favorite to be the antagonist in Plas's next outing. I can't believe it, but I actually have to give this series an F.U.5 in the final analysis. It's a waste of time and money. There are some good offbeat moments, but as a six-issue narrative, it falls flat. This issue is the most weighted with the story, so if you have to buy one, this is it. Read Full Review

This final (kind of) issue of Plastic Man was a bit of a let down. The Cabal working behind the scenes never really grabbed me and I can't say even after reading it I know what their overall plot to ruin Eel even was. I really liked the build-up of Granite Janet and glad she'll be in the next mini, but it begs the question why was this a mini in the first place when a 2nd mini seems inevitable. Feels like a rush to a conclusion; if I look at it through the lens of an ongoing that will have a long hiatus I feel a little better about it.

I'm as confused after reading this issue as I were after reading Watchmen or V for Vendetta for the first time. Not that Simone has anything on Alan Moore, but the point is, I have absolutely no clue what this 6 issue comic is about exactly. And contrary to Moore's work, I have no expectations to find any deeper meaning in between the verses. It's a mess, and it hurts me to say it, since it started out amazingly, with so much heart, humor and potential for the future, it instantly became one of my monthly favourites. Too bad the run derailed halfway, and never recovered. I don't know what happened - maybe Simone never had any end goal for the story, maybe she had to rush the comic to meet her deadlines, or she tried to squeeze too much i nto these comics without really telling any cohesive story? Whatever the reason, or combination of few, was, we got what we got, and I'm disappointed with it. And then people are surprised why comic sales are so low, and why customers prefer to purchase trade paperbacks instead of serialized issues. Here's your answer - runs that start out great and then waste all the potential, ending as shadows of their past selves. more

"Exsqueeze me?" Well, this was a little better than the last issue, but nowhere near the level of the first three issues. The miniseries reaches its conclusion and it's not really satisfying. It's messy and rather humorless. Plast sorta defeats the evil cabal and that's about it. We don't get any resolution with Janet or Granite Janet, neither with Obscura or the fact that Plastic Man might be wanted for murder. The only thing that gets resolved a bit is Pado's story. He escaped and Eel decided to take care of him and the issue abruptly ends. It does set up for a continuation, but after the way, this series disappointed me I don't think I want another one. By the way, the cover for this issue is really ugly.

So this was the ending, the ending that really makes no sense thus making it force and rushed. The bad guys all felt forced and out of place. The whole story with Granite Janet felt like it made no sense. Artwork was pretty great wish story was on par to the artwork.

This was a waste. Things are barely ended, and there's a promise of more to come. You got 6 issues to tell a story, but decided to cram too much into it, and now we have to wait for a sequel that's yet to be solicited to get pay off. That blows. Why not just make it an ongoing if that was your intention going in?
