The action DOES manage to hold through from beginning to end. The mystery of Inferno and. their true motives will survive the first major plot arc of the series, but theres going to be a lot more thats going to have to happen in order for the series to make a coherent run f the momentum that Waid and company are trying to harness.  Read Full Review

Dan Mora's art is amazing, and works really hard to sell this series. However, the plot is weak, the premise seemingly isn't working, the conflict feels very forced just so that Tef Holland can be brought in, and Inferno continues to be mysterious for no good reason. If this comic doesn't find a gimmick other than inflammable backgrounds, I struggle to see readers continuing to flock to this series. Read Full Review

I like the way the villain is defeated and how all the heroes worked together. Plus, Dan Mora's art is a pleasant sight to see. He, Daniel Sampere, and Jorge Jiminez are honestly the two best comic book artists of all time right now.

A nice improvement over the previous issue, which wasn't bad at all, either. Anyways, yeah, I'm really liking this. I'm really glad that it seems we're getting more on Air Wave's story in the next issue, hopefully. I feel like we haven't gotten a whole lot on that, especially since it was the big twist at the end of the first issue.

Legendary art from Mora, but with each issue I feel more and more that this book isn’t for me. It’s so chaotic, filled with so many characters, and I find it overwhelming. For many, this will be much of the appeal, and I can respect that. This chaos makes the personal and quiet moments stand out even more and makes them all the more powerful, though, such as the exchange between Batman and Martian Manhunter in this issue. Those are the moments I really enjoy, but it’s just personal taste.

DC: We have a new Swamp Thing Mark Waid: I don't like him, so I will shove him aside and use Tefe Holland. DC: Sure, why not? A real slap in the face to people who liked Ram V's series. Also, "magically restoring the Amazon rain forest" feels tone deaf in the face of the actual slow motion doom to it in the real world.
