Like everything else this week, Justice League Dark found their conclusion to the influences of the Justice/Doom War. Also like some of the other books out there, credit where it is due that this creative team did not let this story slip away from them. Being tied in to an event never once took away from what made this story what it is. Many creators out there can take a page out of this team's book, because this is how you make a story your own. This issue isn't the strongest of the bunch, it continues to beat the same drums we've seen time and time again but at the very least, it's a very solid ending of the story at hand. If we're being frank, it almost reads like a fitting series finale at that. Read Full Review

There's a lot of crazy ideas being tossed around, but Tynion tells them with enough confidence and propulsion that you don't need to have been reading previous issues to catch the gist - it also helps that artist Alvaro Martinez Bueno is such a gifted, generous artist that he's able to fit together so many panels so beautifully without skimping on any of the storytelling. While I have been enjoying the Witching War for the most part, this ending did leave me wanting more because like a lot of stories that deal with magic........ this kind of just gets resolved magically and comes off a little weak because of it, even though there were some cool concepts and decent visuals to accompany it.  I do look forward to where our team will go from here, I just wish we got a little more out of this arc's finale. Prelude: It's the conclusion to The Witching War and Tynion's run on Justice League Dark before he begins his handover to Ram V next month. Let's see how it goes. The Good: Love Kirk's question and framing at the start of the issue. How everyone sees magic in it's own different way but still something negative and to be feared. Constantine's idea of magic sounds right. Triple Wonder Woman! We have Hecate, Lord of Chaos and Traditional Wonder Woman. Way to tie the series together. Why can't Tynion write Wonder Woman's solo? He understands her so well. It'll be interesting to see where things go from here. Alvaro Martinez Bueno's art is great. The Bad: Nothing. Conclusion: A wonderful conclusion to the Witching War and Tynion's run on the series. All that's left to do is the passover to Ram V. more

This entire run has been absolutely amazing! The artwork is stunning I love the layouts of the pages it really conveys the chaotic power that is happening

James Tynion's run on this title has been terrific. This was a fine conclusion to the Witching War arc. I enjoyed Ram V's Annual so I'm looking forward to where he takes JLD.

This was a good conclusion to The Witching War with a satisfying showdown between Diana and Circe. It didn't feel too rushed despite the writer leaving this title earlier than he originally intended. And while Tynion is leaving JLD with some unresolved plot threads, I am definitely interested in seeing the direction Ram V will go with them.

I mean… it was a fair enough ending but I’ve just lost a little trust in this title of late. The art is great though so that’s nice.

It's too clear the Tynion's decision to leave JLDark for two issues a month of Batman led to a premature end to the arc here. Though 19 issues of basically the same story is a bit much. Lots of good moments but the whole leaves me wanting.
