Visual inconsistency aside, Jones packs a lot of plot and character development into 20 or so pages. Through it all, Catwoman remains a rather great mystery at the heart of the series. Shes a mystery hidden in plain sight. The series focuses so mainly on the surface of her life and what shes doing that her inner thoughts arent allowed to make it to the page. The art by Blanco and Petrus round out the issue well. I must confess I do enjoy Blanco more, but Petrus is a solid artist as well. It's just a personal preference. Together however, they bring home the story by Joelle Jones rather well. And I can't wait to see how it all ends. Read Full Review

This may not be the ground breaking, pioneering of the comics medium that we got in the late 80s, I don't think anything could be, but Catwoman #12 is what comics these days should be. Brave enough to tell its own story, but with respect to the ongoing arc. High stakes action alongside deep prose narrative. This is masterful stuff right here. Read Full Review

While this issue fills in a bunch of things, I think it will read way better in trade.  As just a single issue, it kind of stalls the overall story, even as it sets up some things that I am looking forward to in the future.  The art is good and besides the pacing, this is one of the better issues of this series as of late. When Catwoman #12 focused on moving the plot forward by showing us what Selina Kyle and Raina Creel were doing it was at its best. Joelle Jones has done a great job in developing them both as strong rivals. If it wasn't for the narrative choice spend half the issue with flashbacks to previous scenes from Selina Kyle's sidekick's, Carlos, perspective this issue would have been stronger. Read Full Review

This issue was ok, but nothing special. Mrs. Creel is still an interesting villain& I’m glad Selina has a new love interest. Kings Batcat drama is just awful to read, so I’m glad we are seeing something else at least in Catwoman. The problem is, that the plot is just so slow to ever be really interesting. Wish we would get some story progression between Selina& her sister.

This book continues to be plagued by a glacial pace for a story that honestly isn't all that interesting. It feels like we are missing a lot of information and I'm not sure that we're going to get it. It's standard caper stuff, but it doesn't feel like something that should be taking this long. There are some questionable advances with Selina's character in this issue, but I'll wait to see how things play out before making any final judgements. I know many fans most won't be very happy. The art was decent, though the book would still benefit more from Jones' art than her writing.

I don't care about Raina Creel. She needs to actually do something or just go away. She's not some Kingpin. She's just slowly meandering in the background to match the a-plot's slow meander in the foreground.

She’s disfigured& is still the boss, I feel sorry for her, but also think she’s a character, who doesn’t deserve that much sympathy. And she doesn’t give up. I would like to see more of her.

The art is awesome!!! Two issues of car chases. Really??? The story just plain sucks.It's boring!!! Jones is killing this character. Why is she ruining this character? Does she not like Catwoman? If she makes Catwoman cheat on Bat's before they get to have their story in the Batman / Catwoman series I'll stop buying the book. Don't ruin Catwoman's character like that. She had loved Batman for so long she would NOT be over him this fast and wanting to move on. Let their story play out first. The fans were screwed over with the non-wedding as it is. At least let them have this. It's bad enough we have to put up with boring stories that is probably going to tank the series soon at least show the fans some respect and don't turn her into a slu t before the series ends. Great art!!! more

They aren’t together, so she can’t cheat on Bruce. And she for sure isn’t a slut just because she’s dating. You misunderstand Selina’s character, if you think she’s so dependable on Bruce. It’s about time she’s over him.

I didn't say she was so depended on Bruce, I said it would be nice to have the Bat and Cat series over with before having her move on to someone else. They are not together but they are not fully finished with each other yet either.

True, but it’s on and off with them always. So I don’t expect anything else. I wouldn’t be surprised, if Bruce started something with Talia in Leviathan storyline. As for me I think both characters are better, when they aren’t together. Catwoman always is treated badly by writers, when it’s Batcat.

This book has disappointed me, the plot has become very boring and there are things that are too forced. I really hope it will improve in the next installments, otherwise I will stop reading this story.
