Batman vs. Robin #4 is a thrilling and emotionally resonant comic that is sure to excite fans on multiple levels. The art is epic in scope without losing sight of the more tender moments ripe for exploration in a classic father-son showdown. Though I initially wasn't completely sold,Batman vs. Robin #4 is a successful and enjoyable climax to this arc. The visuals are gorgeous and the issue delivers what the title suggests with a satisfying payoff. A bit rushed, and Batman's confrontation with Damian felt a bit superficial. Nezha isn't a very compelling antagonist.

I love Batman getting the helm in this issue. I don't even mind that he doesn't know how to use it and somehow can cast spells. I always thought that Dr. Fate took over the body of the person who wore the helm. Nezah's son coming out of nowhere was the one thing that felt completely out of place. It was never set up or explained as far as I know. I swore off event books after the disaster that was AXE, so I won't be getting Lazarus Planet.

Overall not a very fun read for me. Damian being evil again really sucked (yeah he was under mind control, but it's still so tiring). It's 1 step forward, 2 steps back with him. He has to always has to become unbearable for some reason after getting some character growth. Also all DC magic users being used as props in a Batman book bothers me the most. It's a creatively bankrupt move.
