Batman: The Knight #6 continues exploring the early steps that helped make Batman.  I have enjoyed this series, and this issue throws in a twist that should lead to conflict down the line.  Zdarsky uses this to show that Batman isn't just the training but also the man, and I am here for it. Batman: The Knight #6 continues to flesh out the training Bruce Wayne needed to become Batman. This latest issue is a pitstop in becoming a marksman but ends up taking a turn that changes things a little too abruptly. You might have seen the heel turn coming, but it's a little shocking given how it's depicted here. Still, this series continues to be a fascinating one, especially knowing Zdarsky is taking over the main Batman book soon. Read Full Review

Again, I like seeing a less confident Bruce, seeing the mistakes, the apprehension, and the "unsureness as this book accentuates his journey. Somehow, we now see him through a crotchety lens, where he's incapable of indicating he's wrong or even making the slightest mistake. Batman: The Knight #6 gives the series a much needed break in the story's pacing to focus on character development, but it's unfortunately cut short to focus on Anton's story. The time spent examining what the "no kill code means for people from different circumstances is the kind of introspective story that I want to see from this series. It's a shame that less than half the issue gets to be about that, while the narrative focuses on a character that often feels like they don't belong. Read Full Review

Another solid issue of this pretty great series. The heel-turn present here feels a little forced, Zdarsky continues to explore Bruce's philosophies and where they come from, how they've shaped.
