While I enjoyed the first half of this issue, the second half felt unfocused and forced.  Kelly Sue Deconnick ties a bunch of things into her story, but not everything fits perfectly.  Overall, this was a decent issue with great art, and I can deal with that, though I was hoping for more. Prelude: DeConnick's Aquaman has been consistently good recently, so let's see how this issue goes. The Good: I enjoyed Arthur and Orm's talk. Rocha's art is good here. Interesting development with Aqualad. The Bad: Black Manta is used yet again. Misleading cover and synopsis. Conclusion: It's good but I'm tiring over using Black Manta again so soon.

Meh, this just isn't too interesting. Every time the story has a chance to go in an unexpected direction, it slides right into the obvious.
