The suit took me way out of it too. Like come on, he hasn't had the damn thing for months. Who is even editing this book anymore?

Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj
Sep 30, 2022One small thing about this is the presence of OMAC in the returning heroes. They died in the Warworld special. Perhaps these pages were drawn before that was cemented? This was a lot of words about a comic. But there is so much pitch-perfect characterization here it deserves it. You want to know who the characters are? You want to see beautiful art? You found the right place. Read Full Review

Oct 07, 2022Action Comics #1047 kicks off a great new story. It hits all the right notes, which is expected from Kennedy at this point. Kal-El is back, as is Lex Luthor, and all is right with the world. Federici, Loughridge, Lapham, Mulvihill, and Sharpe provide excellent visuals that make this story work better than anyone could imagine. If the beginning of this story is this good, the rest should be a blockbuster. Read Full Review

Sep 27, 2022A promising beginning to the next chapter in the latest Superman saga. Though it is mostly set up, as is appropriate for the first issue of a new storyline, there is more than enough action and suspense to build interest and keep the readers attention as we begin to explore the aftermath of Warworlds fall. The Comicbook Dispatch - StoryBabbler
Sep 27, 2022Action Comics #1047 delivers the welcome return of Clark Kent, aka Kal-El, aka Superman to Earth. The comic sees Superman doing classic superheroics stopping bad guys, saving lives, and kicking off the next story with the return of some popular villains. It's also a solid jumping-on point for new and longtime Superman readers. The comic issue also sees the return of Riccardo Federici as the main artist on the title. Don't know how long Federici will be on the book, but it will be great if he's on the book for at least the duration of this new story. Read Full Review

Oct 04, 2022While imperfect, this is definitely a fascinating new take on Superman's status quo and the creative team shows that there's a lot of potential in Warworld, even with Mongul defeated. Read Full Review

Sep 27, 2022Action Comics #1047 gives us something big.... Superman is back! It's just too bad that he's still dealing with Warworld shenanigans and looks like he'll be doing it for the foreseeable future. Thankfully though we have some great art and Phillip Kennedy Johnson taking a stab at reworking Metallo into the mix, which I can't wait to see. Sadly though, the backup feels like nonsense...... But hey, at least we have Metallo..... and Superman back. Read Full Review
