Honestly, I think it was very sensible of Deniz Camp to take the concept of "What if there was a DC world which was naturally weighted towards darkness and evil?" and ask the follow-up question: "What if that's closer to the world we, the readers, live in?". The answers are compelling.

The first arc ends on a perfect cliffhanging note, following a showdown between good and evil that plays out on multiple fronts. The people of the city, the Martian, John, his wife and his son are all waging a war against evil in this finale, and not everyone escapes unscathed. I'm pissed that we have to wait until December for the series to resume!!

A great finale for the first arc here. Camp & RodrÃguez killed it once again here, and I'm really looking forward to seeing where the book goes when it returns for the next arc. Really loved that the ending was a bit of a callback, of sorts, to the ending of the first issue with the importance of having a physical copy.

Absolutely great! Deniz Camp and Javier Rodriguez created something here worth visiting again when assembled in hardcover.

I'm convinced people just dick ride this book to make themselves feel like they're in on something. Aside from the art this whole series was empty.
