Dawnrunner #4

This issue was a page turner. I was taken back by images, consumed by the characters emotions, and intrigued by what was going to happen next. I've been loving this series as a whole, and I believe this is the best issue so far. Anita has been a fascinating character to see evolve and the Tetza showcase an amazing, unique beast every issue. Dawnrunner has done a lot of great worldbuilding across its run and it's made moments like this issue all the more impactful as we understand the scale of it. The personal side is very much there as well with everything we get from Anita and Ichi and their journey of the mind but it also delivers well with Cat, Andro, and others as they deal with the scope of violence being unleashed on their world. It's again beautifully illustrated with some great layouts and designs that are just richly detailed and wonderfully colored. It's one of the best things that Dark Horse has put out in quite some time and I'm excited to see where it goes next. Read Full Review

Quite simply the best comic book series on the shelfs just now. The art is magnificent and the script sublime. The level of raw emotion that drips of each pages makes you read it slow to enjoy every aspect. Utterly up there with the best team for many a year.

One of my favorite new titles in quite some time. Part Ghost in the Shell and part Pacific Rim, I'm enjoying it a lot. Great art, great story, I hope this isn't just a miniseries and done. Always one of the first books I read the weeks it comes out.

This issue was another solid entry. It made me feel the stakes at hand and gave us another step in the main character's journey.
