The writing sticks to Captain America’s foundations exceptionally well, with the spotlight shining on multiple aspects of his moral character. Alongside the conclusion of Red Widow’s character journey, Chip Zdarsky continues his hot momentum with Captain America #11.

The summer’s blockbuster event, Avengers: Armageddon #2, remains as hot as the season. With a thrilling fight between Red Hulk and David Colton, the fight leaves the story at a gripping crossroads.

Moon Knight gets some help to rescue his friends, while adding depth to both his desperation and how others view him. The character writing both in terms of dynamics, relationships, and internal conflict make Marc Spector: Moon Knight #6 a worthy read.

The latest event featuring Victor Von Doom is off to a great start with nostalgic art, creative obstacles, and a strong continuation of the iconic Doom-Richards rivalry.

All in all, this was a very enjoyable Spider-Man read on the heels of Brand New Day, featuring a well thought-out internal conflict for Peter Parker.

Avengers: Armageddon #1 is an extremely strong start to Marvel’s summer blockbuster, as Chip Zdarsky carries forth the superb momentum of his Captain America run.

The Amazing Spider-Man #32 features Peter dealing with existing emotional turmoil while Raelith returns to add another element to it. The issue is action-packed, funny, and emotionally solid.

Some of the most brutal hits in Marvel Comics history provide a strong emotional pay-off for She-Hulk and bring The Ultimates series to an end. Despite lacking in a grander scale ending, it’s a worthy conclusion nonetheless.

Amid strong martial arts action and solid buildup for the conclusion of Lin Lie’s emotional arc, Deadly Hands of K’un Lun #4 sets up a home run for the next issue and mini-series’ conclusion.

A strong continuation to last month’s issue, Marc Spector: Moon Knight #5 offers two notable status-quo changes with Ginnarr’s betrayal and the Midnight Sons’ reformation. The combat isn’t as good as previous installments, but the set-up, art, and character writing make it worth reading.

An echo of the upcoming movie, Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day begins with strong action. Despite lacking a bit in writing, it has set-ups that feel like good storytelling is on the horizon.

Daredevil #3 doesn’t have a high amount of emotional tension or action to write home about, but it does just enough to carry on the solid start of the first 2 issues.

Amid action-packed and colorful pages, Yifan Jiang continues the story of Lin Lie’s journey as Iron Fist and the weight of the mantle. Without half his arm and the Sword of Fu Xi, the series ends on a suspenseful note as Lie will have to overcome his brother while Chiyou’s return draws near.

Some good ideas fall flat amid mis-executed build-up, but the momentum for the Cormac Crane plotline continues to be on fire.

Despite being an otherwise underwhelming issue, The Amazing Spider-Man #30 does set up a premise that can hold a strong emotional arc for Peter.

Some of the best action of the mini-series so far is unfortunately unmatched in the writing department. Generation X-23 #4 trades established substance for poor shock factors, but still has room to fix it.
