This is unfortunately the weakest issue to date, highlighted by some bizarre creative decisions and accented by a generic fill-in action B-plot.

This is yet another solid albeit rough entry in the hit series that is held back by heavy exposition, some distractingly overlooked details, and the usual growing pains of being a tie-in issue.

Among the strongest tie-ins of DC.K.O, effective horror and themes of self-sacrifice make for a disturbing, tragic, A-tier Justice League adventure.

Though a convoluted conclusion to an equally convoluted crossover, it still has its saving graces and a heart in its protagonist. Unfortunately it can get lost in the superheroes versus supervillains of it all.

An entertaining time travel romp that improves upon previous issues, though it unfortunately loses itself somewhat in its own chaos. There are worthwhile developments, but the series feels disrupted by the crossover.

It is a sudden and rather jarring end for the series that admittedly falls a bit flat in where it leaves its characters. Though it boasted interesting ideas, 'Power Girl' never reached its potential.

This is yet another strong entry point into the Absolute universe, combining ideas both new and familiar to setup the mystery and horror surrounding the massive lore revamp, all accented by Jahnoy Lindsay's inspired and fitting visuals.

Though it boasts excellent art, a fun premise, and a strong comedic core, mischaracterization and underwritten villains make the series fall a bit off track with its latest entry.

Another unsurprisingly strong entry in Waid and Mora's DCU spanning epic, Justice League Unlimited #4 injects excitement for whatever direction the mystery setup is headed.

This issue is unfortunately a step down from previous entries, with focus on underdeveloped villains and returning allies that add little to the story.

With plenty of action, heartbreak, and intrigue to go around, Waid and Mora craft a sleek and entertaining, albeit slightly messy entry in their expansive and inventive yet nostalgic epic.

This issue is visceral and immersive, going hard on horror and emotion as things become bleak for our heroes. Mr. Mind is in all of us.

Infused with action, horror, and mystery, JLU goes beyond filling the void the team left after Dark Crisis with scale and character insights as only Waid and Mora can bring them.

Though the action is somewhat lacking, the issue is emotionally raw and a strong climactic end to the first apparent Ejecta saga.

In spite of a sparse presence of the titular villain team, this issue is focused, climactic, and carries just the right amount of emotional weight to pay off its central overarching arcs.

The main story of Justice League Unlimited #1 provides an excellent revamp for the world's greatest heroes on an epic scale, packed with superhero wit and kinetic energy. Unfortunately, the anticipated backup prelude leaves much to be desired.

A tight dramatic script is uplifted by gorgeous and colorful art that perfectly balances the delightfully girly visual style with emotional vulnerability and otherworldly sci-fi weirdness.

This issue favors tension over action and delivers strong characterizations, valuable character insights, and a strong cliffhanger, all of which are wrapped up in a uniquely fitting art style.

A strong debut for Taylor and Jann, this issue boasts vibrant art with excellent action sequences, a script with an intriguing surprise or two up its sleeve, and a standout characterization of Thomas Wayne.

This is yet another visually stunning addition in DC lore, boasting an action packed team up narrative that hardly misses a beat and brings out the best in its creatives.

Campbell continues to impress and McDaid breathes new life into this modern take on our Captain, promising an uncertain future as the focus shifts to darker looming threats.

There is a vulnerability to this issue that makes it stand out among previous entries, furthering the intrigue of both Paige's love life and the shared bond between her and her telepathically linked roomie.

This is an emotionally fulfilling concluding chapter, though it is admittedly somewhat held down by its inability to linger on its big moments throughout as it motions to set up the next arc.

The creative team delivers their best issue yet, boasting a strong emotional narrative that feels foundational to the future of the series and a very effective cliffhanger.

The latest issue of Power Girl is a tie-in purely in setting and circumstance, allowing the creatives to present a kinetic action story in a the dire confines of the House of Brainiac.

The new creative forges a new path for the Shazamily rife with family drama and familiar magical weirdness that feels right at home. This series is in more than very capable hands.

Funny, weird, and fulfilling, this issue showcases a perfectly campy yet surprisingly touching tale that serves as a very appropriate way to pass the torch to the new creative team.

The issue is gorgeously presented with its visuals, elevating a whimsical plot that may contribute to the series' tonal inconsistencies while still keeping things fresh issue to issue.

The penultimate issue of Waid's Shazam! run takes another engaging turn, pushed by his Dawn of DC campaign to play fast and lose with pre-Crisis sensibilities and concepts, and puts the central character's characterization back in the right place.

This adorable filler story provides a much needed breather before the next arc ramps up again, and allows the creative team to make a fun little detour that should appeal to the any comic book fan/cat owner.

With words and art that complement each with respect to their whimsy and weight, the start of this new arc shifts gears in this revamp of the Captain's past and present without straying away from what has already made the run appealing.

Despite a couple very minor nitpicks, this climactic issue very effectively manages to instill a feeling that everything the creators set out to do with this story was done right, and with a voice that says they're only just getting started.

With another perfect issue in a so far near flawless run, the creative team delivers one of the best single issues the Big Red Cheese has had in over a decade; one that further bolsters their plans to reinvigorate the title.

As emotionally intelligent as it is rife with clever anecdotes about its protagonist, this is a tale that ties up loose ends and opens new doors while not forgetting where the heart of the story lies.

Packed with touching drama, offbeat laughs, and art that elevates all aspects to high heights, this is an issue that exceeds the standards set by the first issue in the best way possible.

Though it's a rocky start to a blockbuster event, it's a fun and unexpectedly heartfelt stage setter that builds up to a confrontation with just enough nuance to save it.

A delightfully engaging, and not to mention blast of an issue that channels the very best of its talents. Despite some narrative uncertainties, they eloquently ramp up the conflict before the finale comes to a head.

The creatives deliver a slightly mixed yet very fun first outing that showcases both a love for the character as well as a clear desire to push her to new heights within the Superfamily.

A nearly perfect issue crafted with a profound love for the foundation of Billy as a character and an understanding of what makes him the hero he frequently becomes, as well as the one he already is.

A thematically fitting and engaging conclusion that properly engages with an underappreciated character in what could've been a completely inconsequential tie-in story.

Overall, this issue kicks off a very fun and twisty detour with yet untapped potential that could make for a genuinely impactful companion miniseries for Waid's main run.

Though it feels shorter than it perhaps could've been, Waid and Mora challenge the Big Red Cheese like no one has as they continue setting up the ultimate struggle for the power of Shazam.

This one-shot boats an excellent main segment and a flawed yet enjoyable backup, both of which eloquently set the stages for their respective upcoming series. The former is a psychological tale of imposter syndrome while the latter delves into the difficulties that can come with love and friendship.

Packed with fun without skimping out on stakes, and everything else that makes the Earth's Mightiest Mortal a joy to read, this premiere issue has all the qualities of a character-defining run in the making.

Though not as strong as the previous issues, this arc-closer still packs a punch that inspires much faith in the series' future. The Man of Steel is in more than capable hands.

Overall, Williamson and Campbell have crafted a fast-paced and high-stakes tale that channels the best of the Man of Steel's exploits and makes the danger in his new world feel very real.
