Superman Unlimited #2 is a strong, ambitious follow-up that firmly solidifies the series' direction. This series is clearly aiming to tell a different kind of Superman story, with its high-concept Kryptonite geopolitics, innovative new powers, and the Daily Planet's elevated global role as a bastion of truth. AIPT - Collier Jennings Jun 18, 2025

Superman Unlimited #2continues to shake up Superman's world, whether it's with a new power or the new threat of a world lush with Kryptonite. It also teases the reappearance of a classic Superman foe, who will probably prove to be an unexpected menace for the Man of Steel. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Brett Jun 18, 2025

Superman Unlimited #2 is that comic that's a fine edition to the read pile but it's not one you'll be going back to over and over. It's entertaining but not exciting. It's a perfectly fine Superman story so far, but one that feels like it's a story arc in-between the major storylines and events. Superman Unlimited #2 is good but its slow start doesn't quite hook readers. Read Full Review

Slott's best work in years. He had been waiting for the opportunity to write Superman for many years, the passion leaps from each page.

This issue is much better than the previous one, the art has improved a lot and it was possible to see Dan Slott's voice for most of the characters.

Personally, I liked them all, in terms of the plot, I would have had an alien species come along with the asteroid, but the direction that Slott proposed works.

I'm happy to have a greater focus on the secondary characters and Metropolis. It has everything to be the best Superman book this summer.

I think I said it in my last issue, but I had low hopes for this series because Dan Slott clearly is out of his prime post Amazing Spider-Man run. However, this was a pleasant surprise and he made me eat my words. Bravo Dan Slott. Also the art here works better, even though I'm not really a big fan of Rafael Alberque. But again like Dan Slott, he made me eat my words. I am glad Rafael Alberque art works here, and I dont know how it would have been in absolute Superman

This run is shaping up to be a very fresh and…quirky…take on the Man of Steel and his supporting characters. Slott takes some big swings these past two issues, and while I wouldn’t say they’re all grand slams, he definitely succeeds in getting a couple doubles and triples. The unique art meshes well with the offbeat writing and the combination definitely stands out among the other great Superman books out there right meow.
