Great! A real X-Men fan out here. Talking about the politics in the current comics landscape has got me cancelled in the past so I tried not to lean too much into that in my review, but you are right, it's disturbing AS HELL. And yeah, the only character assassinations worse than Charles Xavier's are Frank Castle's and Nick Fury's. However, we disagree in something, half of the art is awful.

This issue is a totally nonsensical, complete disgrace of storytelling and an insult not just for X-Men fans, but for the trees that were pointlessly cut down to produce this garbage that pretends to be a comic book.
Thus, a fitting ending to the Krakoan era.
I'm just so glad it's over that I'm not going to criticize the fact that these writers are so dumb they simply can't come up

I assume the grade for this book is so high because most people who actually like X-Men have long since left the book. I suppose someone has to post an alternate view for those in the future wanting to get a read of what this book is like. Avoid this like the plague. This is a disaster.
This book sums up the failure of the Kraoka era. Please note for this review I am not an America and

"Always have been." Seems like you have forgotten the first decade of X-Men where Stan just created them because it was an easy explanation and Magneto was clearly the bad guy. At least that is what the Omni's and Essentials of X-Men I have on my shelves tell me. X-men did get more complex plots with Chris, but while complex and nuanced issues arose, they were at worst morally grey. The X-Men in todays world are just functionally fools, segregationists, OP and often evil.Do you not realize this?
No, I dont realize this because it isn't true. And yeah, the thing about stana easy to explain and simple x men is no one read it and no one cared about it. Claremont made the x men eat they are known for today and he did that bu understanding that good stories aren't all about bad guys being all bad and good guys being all good. Something that has been true for thousands of years.
I hate to write a review when I have nothing good to say about what I'm reviewing, but I just reviewed the second issue, I'll review the third one only out of inertia.
Man! Did I really just read 20 pages? This issue felt like a short preview. This just keeps happening. They simply refuse to give you more bang for your buck. Why can't I get a single issue that doesn't feel empty and inc

For someone who claims to hate to write this review, your word count is awfully high...holy smokes.
Last time I said this was a well-crafted comic book, a good story that deserves a bad rate rate because it is called "Ultimate X-Men" while not presenting anything that resembles the X-Men in the least. I said that if the book wasn't called "Ultimate X-Men" it would be good.
Are we on the same page? The first issue was a bad X-Men comic book, but not a bad comic book technically speaki

This issue is way better than the last two. This issue makes the other two look like previews. Hickman shouldn't have waited so long to deliver this.
But don't get me wrong, I still feel cheated. Maybe the story is getting back on track but that doesn't change the fact that they advertised the series as "What if Peter Parker didn't get his powers until adulthood?" and presented instead

Nothing here makes sense.
The main issue is that we are seeing a mature man playing with his new super powers as if he were a teenager, I mean, do you want him to be mature or not?
I will elaborate later why the story doesn't make sense at all, but first, there are some of the same technical issues the previous one had:
The "bros" relationship between Jonah and Ben

My main criticism is that this is not "X-Men", this is something else that borrows the "X-Men" title. I don't like that.
I have read many X-Men stories, and, in my opinion, Peach Momoko can't bring to the table the type of story that I expect from a book with the title "X-Men". If the book is called "ULTIMATE X-MEN", that doesn't help her case.

It seems like the best artwork Marvel has to offer right now is in the Ultimate Universe, but I can't say the same for the stories.
I don't get the point of this particular book.
Supposedly, in this universe the Maker build, he deprived the Marvel heroes from the circumstances that created them, their origins, so that they would no longer represent a threat to his designs, To

This was really disappointing.
This new Ultimate Spider-Man series is far from what it promised. I expected more from Hickman, A LOT more.
It seems like Marvel just can't do Spider-Man right anymore.
Let's leave the story aside for a moment, this book has many flaws technically speaking. The lack of good editors at Marvel is more than evident here.

So it's clear that despite these being in an alternate universe that we know the Maker messed with extensively so that none of the old heroes would ever be able to become the people they were supposed to be actually addressing most of the complaints you seem to have about these books, you just want them to be exactly the same as what they're "supposed" to be. Right.

LOL! What are you talking about? Lucas Bishop is one of the coolest, more badass X-Men characters and one of the best comic book characters created in the last 30-ish years. One of the Marvel Legends I'm still missing. Anyway, "POC" stands for "person of color" which means "black", right? Well, that lame character was not black, his ethnicity was ambiguous, that's why I said "diverse".
Person of color does NOT mean black lmfao. It can refer to any race that isnt white, as has always been the case. Point is, the character happened to be dark skinned, and that was more important to you than anything he was saying; as was... idk how big his abs were since he wasn't manly enough for you I guess lmao? Also his ethnicity was not ambiguous, he was krakoan that's his ethnicity, his RACE was ambiguous. Those are two different things.
