I never knew it was exactly what I wanted from a Batman title. Derington's art is such an unexpected pleasure, in which he depicts even the most mundane moments with skill and originality. But just like Batman, we're here for the fun, which is depicted with skill and ease. When I imagined Bendis writing Batman, I never dreamed it could be this good.

This is the kind of quality that I've been missing from Bendis. It's such a stark contrast to his Superman, which was coming out around this time. The art by Nick Derington is great and dynamic. The guest stars make for fun surprises while serving their purpose to the story. It's pretty rare to see a globe-trotting Batman story, and this book does it a lot of justice.
