Feb 18, 2026X-Men #25 brings a lot to the table and accomplishes what it needs to do to drive the story forward. The introduction of a new threat, alongside a cliffhanger reveal to close out the issue make for an excellent read. The main line X-Men story has really been driving this Shadows of Tomorrow event, and this issue is no different. A worthwhile series to check out and pick up when you are at the shop this week. Feb 18, 2026X-Men #25 packs thrilling action and art into a globe-spanning mutant melee, but the fruitless Doug Ramsey chase and thuddingly obvious political jabs sap its full potential as a series milestone. Does it claim a slot in your selective pull list? Only if you crave explosive brawls enough to overlook the narrative stall and sermonizing detours; casual readers might wait for the payoff. Feb 18, 2026X-Men #25 is hard to review because some of the characters are written very well, and it’s easy to see just how much Jed MacKay understands them, but on the other hand, the actual storyline of the issue is a mess. Most of its problems stem from previous issues and a reliance on a major title-wide event that most readers are extremely bored of. Read Full Review

X-Men #25 is in fact the better of the 2 books after the awful Uncanny X-men featuring knock off Universal Monsters. But thats not high praise at all. I'll say it now and later in this review- Current X-men Suck. Let's dive in - We get the team deployed to find the Morlocks in hopes of finding Doug Ramsey. Along the way a random story of Nazi mutant twins, nazis killing( hero’s kill right? The X-men are not heroes in this book) and a cool battle. Cyclops's team go back to being the Krakoa killers we got at that series end. Some will say it’s a political message and killing Nazi mutants is allowed blah . Idc about all that.Be heroes or don’t be heroes. Then we get the return of Crimson Commando who was last killed by Wolverine working with more

This issue might as well be titled “Jumping to conclusion because the plot needs us to”. Jed MacKay’s Unlikeable X-Men has become a little less frustrating in recent months, because as unrecognizable as Toy Daniel’s art has become, at least it’s not Ryan Stegman or his clone Netho Diaz. The way MacKay makes the characters arrive at convenient conclusions is completely mind-boggling though. Because Doug wants to go underground, he must be with the Morlocks. Because the stupid new mutant sickness didn’t exist in the future it must come from there. And 3K is clearly code for Make More Mutants, which gives away the identity of Dark Beast. WTF. How stupid does McKay think the reader is? The rest of the book is going through the motions by bashi more
