Wolverine #23 ends this story expertly. Percy knows when to use action and emotion in this one, and it works so well on every page. Kubert and Martin kill it on the art, with so many amazing images throughout. Wolverine is always great, but this one goes above and beyond. Read Full Review

‘Wolverine' #23 ends the Deadpool team-up story arc in a surprisingly emotional and strong space, eschewing the cliche sort of conclusion that one might have expected to tackle something with more weight to it. We close out the Wolverine/Deadpool team up on a pretty solid footing. Percy kept the manic ridiculousness that has become synonymous with Deadpool to tell a story about what Wades willing to do for those he cares for most. Wolverine #23 supplies resolution for Deadpool while giving readers plenty of great action. Adam Kubert is a legend and continues to prove he's got lots of great ideas and visual prowess. What you will find are silly, slapstick moments mixed with attempts at emotional instants, fanfare, and panel layouts that were confusing to read. The best word to describe this issue, and frankly this arc, would be unnecessary. I do not recommend picking up WOLVERINE #23 and hope WOLVERINE can get back to its original roots when Percy began this series. We shall see next month. This story arc has been an absolute blast to read! I've enjoyed every panel of this arc it works on every level. I really liked how Deadpool seemed to show some emotional growth. The artwork is phenomenal which is to be expected with Adam kubert. For me Deadpool doesn't really work very well as a lead character as he lacks depth often but as a supporting character he is great. Benjamin Percy is one of my favorite writers and the way he wrote this arc makes me really want a wolverine and Deadpool series. The ending was what I was hoping for I think it's going to be great. I hope Percy and kubert stay on wolverine for as long as possible because they have both been phenomenal

This arc wraps up at the right time. The Danger plot gets a little too dark and complicated for a Deadpool team-up, so the creators and the heroes walk away from it. If that's potentially unsatisfying, it's more than balanced out by Deadpool earning himself a big fat happy ending. There are a few last good gags on display. The art is still strong, with a splash and a DPS that are both crafted to impress. Other parts have more "cruise control" visuals, though. It's a very good comic for me, but #22 remains my favorite of the arc.

A pretty fun finale to this story. I appreciated the more serious moment with Deadpool and I enjoyed seeing Wolverine gain a little more respect for him as he, seemingly, gained a spot on X-Force. Also, I wanted to mention that I think Percy did an awesome job of writing Deadpool throughout this arc, so I hope that carries over to X-Force.
