Wolverine #16 is an entertaining comic, but it feels like theres stuff missing. Percy does a good job of letting readers know who Solem is, but he doesnt give them the big Solem/Wolverine fight that this story seemed to be building towards. Kubert is at the top of his game again, which is pretty much what hes been doing the entire time on this book. Its not a bad comic; its just strange. Read Full Review

I'm not too much of a solo Wolverine fan, but thought this arc was better than the Omega Red and Maverick stuff. What I didn't like was the inclusion of Emma (hello, are any editors out there-- she's pointedly not an Omega level mutant) and how easily problem was solved.

It was written "omega level telepath" so she isn't a omega level mutant. I dont get why the writer did this classification since she isn't even a top 5 telepaths on x-men.

This isn't necessarily bad, but I don't find it very engaging, and it's not really delivering on the promise of Solem, in my opinion. Solem could be so much cooler than this, and he was, during X of Swords.

Solem approaches Logan directly, but of course he's got double-crossing on his mind. Logan defeats Blackmore and then arranges a pretty deus ex machina end for Solem. The basic beats of a solid hard-boiled tale are still here, though they could have been executed with a bit more flair. The art's strong, but the absence of Frank Martin alters my opinion of him. I used to dislike his muddy palettes, but this issue shows by negative example that he actually did a hell of a lot to enhance Adam Kubert's (usually already strong) artwork.

A fairly fun issue as a whole, but still my least favorite of the series so far. I feel like Solem should be a lot cooler than he is, especially after the way he was introduced in X of Swords. Hopefully, if he returns at some point, he gets a more interesting storyline. I really feel as though that he has the potential to be a great villain is used correctly.

I really lost the interest for Solem. Te characte is a mary-sue, writer is trying to hard to sell this crap character too hard. The conclusion was dumb, just Call Emma to solve zzzzzzz
