In terms of art, it has the classic Marvel Comic style. I always love how Marvel Comics looks, and it sets a standard on how comics should look. Gomez uses amazing colors, and makes Venom pop off the page. Especially when it comes to the cover art. I like Venom to look really menacing, and definitely I see that in the art. I also love the detail in Madame Masque's suit. I always look forward to seeing artist's unique stamp on a specific comic run. Read Full Review

Venom #253 is a smart, stylish setup issue that balances espionage intrigue with character-driven humor before unleashing Venom in full force. Madame Masque's threat to Venom comes off with mixed results in a very uneven issue. Ewing's writing tries leaning into Paul's dimwitted antics to alleviate the drama to debatable results. Gmez & D'Armata create solid images to guide readers through this point. The last page teases more excitement next go-around. Optimistic it should be a step up from here. Read Full Review
