After saving the citizens of San Francisco from the worst of THE WAR OF THE REALMS, the Superior Spider-Man is the toast of the town! The key to the city! A ticker-tape parade! Adoration of the masses! That should make him feel good, right? Whatever he's feeling, he should treasure it, because someone very dangerous is coming for him...

Beyond The Panel - Jideobi Odunze

    Jul 18, 2019

Superior Spider-Man #9 is not the issue where old enemies make their way back into Otto's life, but we got something way better before that. There has never been a better time to say the words “all lives matter” in a superhero world. This creative team has changed the game for event tie-ins. Overall, Superior Spider-Man throws out an issue that hits some emotional notes, about what a hero goes through when all the excitement passes and they're left with their thoughts and the results at hand. Otto's surrounding cast shines in this issue and while we dont get a typical action packed Spidey issue here sometimes the emotional breaks in between can be just as enjoyable. Hawthorne and company continue to provide the title a unique look I hope continues. Read Full Review

The comic also features a brief encounter between Otto and the ridiculous Z-list villain Tuner D. Century who Otto is able to take out some of his frustration prior to his heart-to-heart with that “other” Spider-Man. Worth a look. Read Full Review
