Superior Spider-Man #8

With Superiority Comes Responsibility! If you ask me, THIS sounds much better than the original. Superior Spider-Man #8 gave us a perfect conclusion to Superior Spidey's inclusion in the War of the Realms event. I can't help but be impressed by all of these creative teams who have shown us that we can have tie-ins without feeling as though we are spending money on something that you would otherwise call filler. I know nothing about the War of the Realms book, and I thoroughly enjoyed this issue! The big thing that I pulled out of this, Gage should totally do a West Coast Avengers book. That and I need to start reading that book! This book could be my favorite issue in the Superior run yet, had great laughable moments and some character development for Otto. If had to grab any two books from Marvel, it would be this and last issue of this book. Read Full Review

The banter and fights in this issue made it all worth it, as did one heavier conversation towards the end. I'm looking forward to seeing if this issue has any impact on Superior Spider-Man‘s main plot. Read Full Review

The West Coast Avengers were never going to be up to the level of some the other super hero team-up. But here it feels right. It feels like that thing that was missing has suddenly been acquired, and I'm hoping that Marvel will find that it has enough going for it to steal away a few issues from something else. Otto and his "minions" bounce into a few other realms before his "win the whole ballgame" ambitions fall apart. But Gwenpool, yes Gwenpool, restores his purpose and morale with a superb motivational speech. The plot's transparently a vehicle for delivering sassy chatter, but the chatter is top quality. The art is polished and nicely-blocked, though a little short of memorable.

Superior spider man is a great and fun read. This might be one of the weaker issues but theres something about this series I really like.

I wish books weren't dragged into second rate crossovers. I have no interest in crossovers, and even less in the West Coast Avengers.
