The challenge for Pacheco and Prez moving forward is going to lie in maintaining the momentum that theyve set this issue. The fantastic journey to Wundagore Mountain and an off-planet adventure has settled into a more domestic setting that Pacheco and Prez have done an outstanding job of setting up. Hopefully, everything comes together for the issues to come. Theres been a genuine sense of character progression in story and art that has been really appealing as an ongoing series. Spider-Woman #13 is a great action-focused comic with a hell of a chase scene. In fact, this is probably the best chase sequence you'll get in all of comics in 2021. Spider-Woman is breakneck, funny in a self-reflective way, and about as fun as comics can possibly get. Read Full Review

This visually stimulating issue is heavy on character form. Perez uses modern, detailed drawings to depict a myriad of fight and chase sequences. And D'Armata's bold, intricate color work creates a tone that perfectly suits the intense and fast paced environment presented in the story. I was completely transported by every page. Karla and Pere pack as much bang for your buck you can get, and the peddle doesnt leave the floor this issue. We see some new faces, and the battle between Jess & Lady Bullseye is pure sugar fun. The lack of focus on Jessica, and her supporting cast can tend to get a bit old, but Karla brought back a fan favorite Spider-Woman cast member, so I can forgive her. The book itself is beautiful, and Pere just continues to get better with each and every issue. Read Full Review

However, there are challenges here: watching Fireball and Bruiser show up and get, basically, smacked around while running through a ridiculous and increasingly labyrinthine set of challenges is cute, but not really the most engaging thing going because the stakes are fairly abstract — the data on the disk is one step removed from the fates of the people, and it's data, it can be copied. As such, watching these somewhat slapstick super-heroics is interesting but not wholly engaging. This is a solid comic book, with well-done applications of craft from everyone involved, but its confectionary tone belied the seriousness of its subject. Read Full Review

That took my breath away, I couldn't look away with the high octane action and movement! And it was all paced with campy humor that didn't feel out of place. I know Jessica doesn't want to be compared too much with Spider-Man but this felt as good as his best.

Absolutely FUN book with non-stop action! Pacheco did a nice job and Pere Perez is fantastic! That first page with the stroller was hilarious.

The action is great and the dialogue is funny. I just really do not want to get trapped in the whole dying/clone story again.

Jess engages in an insane non-stop merc chase when d-listers try to steal the High Evolutionary's data from her. True, Jess (and maybe her author?) are trying to avoid thinking about the crushing relationship blow dealt in the last issue. This chase is a *hell* of a distraction, with gorgeous art, audacious ideas, and tons of corny (good corny) humor.
